First Grow: Will these be enough CFLS?

Hey I just started growing and I am growing in a home made grow box constructed of a large tupperwear bin standing vertically with the inside covered in mylar and with two intake and one exhaust fan. For lighting I am using CFLs. I plan on growing one plant in a one gallon bucket using FoxFarm Ocean Forest and their 3 supplements. Anyway, I have three lighting stainless steel lighting fixtures in my box that hold 3 lights each. There is one on top which has three splitters and has nine 23w on it. Then there is a fixture on each side, both contain two 18w CFLS and 1 23w. That is a total of 302w and 21200 lumens. Is this enough for that one plant to become huge? Like 4-5oz yield, or should I maybe grow two plants. Thanks.:weed:

Also, how much would this smell? I am going to grow in this hidden side room in my room. Basically there is a closet in the corner of my room that you open and then on the side on the ground there is another smaller door you open and then you are in a room, like a crawl space. Will the smell of the weed seep into my room even though it is through like 5 feet away through several layers of wood?

Smell.... needs exhaust... it will go somewhere, like throw a stone in a pond, the ripples near where the stone landed are closer together, but the ripples keep going....The smell of growing MJ is like that, close to your plant intense smell.... further away, [sniff-sniff] what's that smell? Too many CFL’s = Oxymoron…..

CFL’s do put off some heat, so you will need to exhaust it…

Start your grow with one plant, and once it’s going good, clone it….

Heat along with scent will be an issue…

“No Tell…No Sell… No Smell”

You can/need to build a DIY exhaust charcoal filter…

Good Luck!

You will need to get a remote sending temp gauge/RH Meter for this space... before you try doing any work in there, I'd want to know the ambient Temp, cause that sounds like one hot box to grow in...

If using CFL's its all about spectrums!

PHASE 1 (8-10 weeks veg) During vegetation phase you want 18 -24hrs of full spectrum daylight meaning a minimum of 5000 kelvin up to and better yet 6500 kelvin. As far as wattage is concerned an equalivant of 150 watts - 200 watts = 7000 lumens - 10,000 lumens is all that is needed per plant but the 'KELVIN RATING" is what really matters. Pending the strain and care given you should be 24 to 36 inches in height when ready to switch to flowering phase 2.

PHASE 2 (10-14 weeks flower pending strain) During flowering phase you want 12 hrs ON, 12 hrs OFF of warm spectrum light meaning 2700 kelvin and the same equilivant of wattage 150 - 200 watts per plant.

The Perfect Grow can accumulate an average of 3 - 4 oz per plant utilizing this process but this took several cycles and alot of trial and error before creating the perfect grow

Smell Question --- YES IT WILL and should be extremely strong during the final stages of flowering and harvest. Unless you have a perfectly sealed room, with the correct CFM's of intake vs. outtake based on calculations of room volume and climate control utilizing a charcoal filter and exhausting to the exterior of the building expect a very strong smell!

The perfect garden has weeds in it!
