Right!! i got a question that needs a answer as soon as pos plz!!!

Im currently on 12/12, half way through week 3 so the lights come on at 7am and off at 7pm but the clocks go back tonight and i dont want to be getting up at 6 to check everything is ok with the box!! So...... Should i..........1. when the lights go off give them an extra hour of dark so that they come back on at 7am again and not 6am?? or 2. Give them an extra hour of light, so change the timer so that the light stays on till 8pm tonight then comes back on at 7am till 7pm again??

Help please!!!!!

Also decided to feed all my girls this morning!! None of them were droppy but its been about 4 days since their last feed and the pots felt pretty dry! there is some yellowing on some of the leaves! so i also changed the amount of feed i gave them and will now stick to what i used today, and that was:- 2 litres of water + 1 tablespoon molasses + 10ml bloom food(recommended dose is 5ml per 1 litre) plenty of drain off water off all the pots, also took a few small yellow leaves off the bottom of the plants(just tidying up etc)

Im hoping that uping the food will stop that bit of yellowing as i assume its happening due to lack of food!!?? and not overdosing??!!

hi baggins, well I don't think it is going to be a major issue with 1 hour for 1 day. I had a bad timer previously and it was messing up the light on and off, but it didn't do anythnig to the plants so my guess would be that the change is not going to be massive. if you are really concerened, do it half an hour by day. but I would just leave them off for an extra hour, instead of giving them more light, at least then you are kinda working with nature (less light progressively throughout flowering) So that's my slant on it, enjoy the weekend bru.

Cheers mate you a star!!! I was thinking the same, that giving them a extra hour of dark should do them no harm!! Just needed someone to back that up for me and now im more chilled!!!
Cheers again!!

The light change shouldn't be a problem, I did much worse and did alright with my NS.

Here's a couple shots at harvest time of the mother plant. I put it into 72 hours darkness at day 60 of flower (sex was determined before 12/12 switch) it had about 10-20% amber and the rest completely milky trichs. The buds were on the fluffy side.

you will be fine..... in the natural light cycles photoperiods shift from 8-16 hrs a day of light....... taking into account geographic location ;).... in some places that some strains originated from there are more rapid shifts in photoperiods.......

Morning peeps!!
I still have a problem with yellowing leaves mainly on the plant that i nearly killed awhile back!! its been fine with slight yellowing on the leaves from day 1 of sprout but over the last few days the yellowing has got worse mainly on the big fan leaves at the bottom of the plant!!! All leaves higher up look fine even if they look like sativa leaves(long skinny) Will go and take the girl out in a mo and get some pics so you can see what im on about!!!
Fed them yesterday!! and they got lots of bloom food etc, i know bloom food has less nitrogen which is what can cause yellowing but after checking the difference between my veg and bloom food, it should be ok!!!!(the amount of nitrogen in the bloom aint too far away from what was in the veg food)

So why is it happening???? Will they start recovering after a few days once they have drawn up all the food???!!

Someone please put my mind to rest plz!!!!

p.s
The plant im talking about is also the 1 that i took a chance with and took some bottom leaves, small growth and tiny bud sites off a little while ago as a test to see if the top buds would get boosted!!! Could this have somthing to do with it???!!

Pics very soon!!!!

Cheers again for all comments!!!

sounds like a hormonal shift in flower..... not a lack of draw of N...... once a leaf turns yellow, it doesn't turn back ;)...... once its more than 40% yellowed, I pull it ;)....... trimming wouldn't cause it..... shouldn't cause any problems unless you took too much off all at once ;)

Honestly Baggins, I would chill about the plant. Was just looking back through your pics, so it must be at around 4 weeks +/- now....? I think. Anyway, throughout my growing I always tend to trim a few leaves from the bottom of the plant on a weekly basis that are yellowing. I think this is a natural thing for my plants to do as they go into the later stages of life (which is what flowering is.) When I look at my plants I tend to try and remind myself that everything the plant is doing it is doing to try and survive, and with fem MJ'ers thats all about seed production (or putting your energy into the buds/flowers.)

The top of the plant is still looking healthy and as long as it's from the bottom up I see no need to fear....perhaps this is the long lost blue cheese, have you compared the bud growth with the other plants? May be this one needs more feed?

So here is an example of a pic from a grow I done back in August, this girl is at 3-4 weeks, I have already pulled some fans leaves of this, as you can see the bottom leaves do not have as much depth of colour...a natural thing as I said. So that's me Baggins. Hope this helps bru.

Thanks for getting back to me straight away!! and thanks for putting my mind at rest!!
I guess it could well be the Blue cheese but its so similar to the rest of the plants, as far as how the bud looks and is developing there is no real difference apart from 1..... which is the leaves!!! on the 1 that has the yellowing i notice that there is less leafage and the leaves look like sativa leaves(or so i think)
Is it me or what???

Im sure i get a wiff of cheese in my box but again they all look the same to me!!!!

Got to go before the woman beats me to death for always jumping on the laptop and reading every journal on here!!! lol

Stay Strong Peeps!!!( more pics tom)

So here we go!!! Took some new photos today as the light came on and after i had moved and rotated pots!!
Tried to get some pics of the leaves on my yellowing plant that i think look like sativa leaves, ive loaded the pics on the computer but haven't looked at them yet so hopefully there should be some nice shots where you can see what im on about!!
I did remove 1 or 2 real yellow leaves from some of the girls, they were mainly the big fan leaves from the bottom of the plants!!

Will prob be doing another vid next week at the end of their 5th week flowering and then a vid at harvest!! Will still be keeping up to date with the pics though!!

Not sure if im going to flush all the girls next watering or give them another feed and then the flush??!! Guess i will decided when it comes to watering day!!

Temp and Hum have been pretty good, Temp average:- 25.5'c and Hum:- 50% with plenty of air flow!!

Babbling now!!! lol
Heres some pics hopefully they should be good!!!!

Stay Strong Peeps!!

The plant im on about that i think looks like it has sativa type leaves and thats yellowing a bit from the bottom, is the 1 in pic2 of last post on the right behind the themometer, you can just see the leaves at the top and how much thinner they are compared to my other girls!!

More photos!!!(these should all be the girl with the sativa like leaves, but ive had my breakfast doobie!! so they could be anything!!! lol)

Happy looking girls Baggins!!!!

I see what you mean about the thinner leaves on that plant. Stange though as the bottom fan leaves look quite fat on it. But it does seem to show sativa traits....but then it's not gone excessively tall like you would expect a sativa.....

Solid job so far, looking fwd to the end result (not as much as you though prob!:bigjoint:) Get a pic just b4 lights on or lights out so we have some porn without the yellow tinge:mrgreen:
