First grow with CFLs Pics!

My first grow with CFLs in a rubbermaid box. What do you guys think? Freshly cut. Its just bag seed, and its 2 plants. One on each hanger. One was topped and the other one wasnt. What a difference.

The weight of the bigger plant came out to 150g, but those are some big stems. I heard its going to come out to 25% of the weight? What do you think im going to get? The second plant came out to 65g.

Also, on a side note because my search keeps coming up with a database error, does anyone have good links on how to make hash? I dont want bubble hash cause its too much trouble with bagseed, but the other quick way? Also, so I dont have to make another thread. The soil I used has PH thats waaay off. Is there a way to "reset" the soil to 7 PH again? Or should I just toss the soil

Very nice harvest. Youtube had some tutorials on how to to make hash. I'm probbaly thinking you'll be getting around 100 grams when its all dried up and stems are off. Since the stems do look big. GL bro

Thanks for the reply. All your estimates are more than what Ive heard before. How much do you think ill have with the stems gone?

Also, what about my other question, The soil I used has PH thats waaay off, in the 5.5 range. Is there a way to "reset" the soil to 7 PH again? Or should I just toss the soil

Not to rain on your parade but once they are dry your actual harvest will be whatever the buds alone weigh without the stems, which are likely half your total wet weight. Also the 25% dry/wet ratio is optimistic unless the buds are really dense. You are probably looking at an OZ or so. But I could be wrong, I hope so. Let us know in a couple of weeks when they are fully dried.

Its a total of 5 CFLs. 1 42 W, and the rest 24 W.

Bamstone, I was thinking I would get around that. Ive also heard another figure where I would only get 10% of the total wet weight, so that would come out to just under a o

Alright, its been a week, and theyve tried faster than I thought they would. THey look all dry now. Ive gotten 40gs from the 160, and 15 from the 60. So exactly the 25% ratio that Ive heard. Though once I take out the stems it will be a different story

Hey OneHit,

Once they are ready for jars and without stems let us know. An ounce of homegrown bud is a lot if you are just smoking it. Good grow for your first and for using all CFLs. As you continue to grow and get better your harvest yields will increase.

They are all really dry now, and Ive trimed it off the large stems Ive just been smoking some of it already. I dont have jars large enough to fit the buds. Is the jar curing process essential?

Chronic, ill do it once i get the camera

Here ya go. I basicly copied the design from Monkyeeboy. I used plastic to separate the light from the plants, though there is airflow. I had a fan at the very top of the box. It was enough for my needs, but the next time around Im definatly doing things differnetly

thats a nice pull for a rubbermaid grow. great job. how are the buds light and fluffy or nice and dense? many complain about cfl's producing "popcorn" buds. also hows the taste and smell without curing in jars?

Thanks, I dont feel like I did that well as I had constant PH problems in the end, and I had to flush a bunch of times. The fan leaves started to turn brown and die off. As for the buds, they are defiantly fluffy. Much different than the stuff I get around here. The smell and taste is very nice though, though Ive now put them in jars. But even before putting them in jars, its been nice
