First Grow: WW-3 tent-DWC/MegaGarden:+rep to all

Alright RIU, so my husband and I have started our first indoor grow. I guess you could say it's been a little rough and tempers have flared lol. Two married "gardeners" with two very different opinions/approaches. :wall: Um...yeah things have gotten rather heated at times. So I figured I'd post our grow and maybe get advice/suggestions from some of RIU's more experienced growers. I suppose I should take a back seat, after all he is the one that does all the work.;) But I just can't help it!! Must be a woman thing, all the questioning and critiquing. I have to say I have learned more from this site than I ever imagined I would. I LOVE it!! And that is unfortunately evident by lack of sleep and one very messy house lol. Anyways, enough of that and on to what we're working with.

(3x3x5)- 600W HPS Cooltube, Quantum Ballast, 3 gal. buckets
Vortex 6" Inline fan 460 cfm, Can Max 6" inline fan 334 cfm
(2x2x5)- 400W HPS, Quantum Ballast, Hydrofarm MegaGarden
(3x3x2)- 125W Hydrofarm, 2 cfls, 2 T5s, 8 site Botanicare cloner

We ordered beans from Attitude during the last promo:
5 fem Tangerine Dream
5 fem White Label White Widow
2 fem Sweet Seeds Sweet Cheese
Dinafem Blue Hash
Dinafem Blue Widow
Dinafem Critical +
G-13 Labs Super Skunk

Right now we have 3 practice bagseed vegging in the flower tent that were started around Mar. 16. They suffered some nute burn in the beginning but are starting to look much better.
We also have 4 WW that were started Mar. 25 that we will be cloning and hopefully get a good mother.

Also, with summer approaching we are looking into coolers. Or my husband is considering incorporating a mini fridge. I can't picture it in my head lol. But I guess it'll be a RRDWC (refrigerated recirculating DWC)??? Idk, should be interesting lol.

Here's some pics to get us started, I'll post some pics of the girls a lil later...

Thanks in advance and +rep for all advice/suggestions!:)
Nice looking setup there. Very nice.
I hope mine looks that good when I set mine up in the next few weeks.
Sub'd.

Thanks Green Inferno! Ill have to check out your grow when you get it set-up! :) +rep
Thanks!
Hopefully I can get started sooner before later. I have a small grow going on right now, more or less a just practice grow
until I get my seeds and lights. The seeds were free, the light was 90 watt LED almost free. I already had the soil. I'm not
expecting too much, but even a few grams is that much less I have to buy from the dispensary.

I've decided on C99 X A11 and C99 X NL for the strains I want to grow, but the lights I am not sure on yet. Probably 3 X 600
watt HPS. Maybe 2 X 1000 watt. Basically I want to go for my legal limit, and to never run out. Ever.

When do you think you'll harvest? I'm especially interested in the TD.

@green inferno -Well sounds like you have some good strains lined up. Post a link here when you get up and running. As far as harvest, the 3 bagseed are going outside so that will be a while from now. As for the 4 WW, I'm guessing June?? Anyways, the TD I'm def looking forward to but we'd like to get a few grows in before we pop them. My husband wants to get a good mother from clones off the widows and run that strain for a while. Myself, I'd like to get a WW mom n stick her aside and start new strains asap lol. I'm looking forward to the sweet cheese and super skunk!! Anybody have experience w these strains???

I chose those because they seem to be pretty forgiving to beginners, finishes pretty fast, and still has good quality, and the price was right. $57 for 10 seeds.
I tried WW for the first time about a week ago. That was definitely one of the better highs I ever had. I might get 10 seeds of that too. I hear it is one of the
easiest to grow, based on what people say that has grown it. I've only grown outdoors up until now, and have always been pretty lucky.

When I got the WW from the dispensary, I was asking about the TD, they said they didn't have that. So I got WW. I bet the TD is much better.

Looking great, clean setup I love tents keeps everything nice keeps bugs out just all around great to grow in! You can tell the quality is better in your tent vs. mine you get what you pay for saying is always true. My two tents have lasted well with some minor maintenance and upkeep, I am going to be closely watching this one!

Alright, well I must say this little modified under current system is going great so far. I was a little worried with my husband leaving me with a modified system I wasn't familiar with. Only problem, LOUD ass pump!!!:( As soon as he returns it must be replaced!

I"m having trouble understanding how the RDWC systems work? where does the pump take its suction and where does it discharge to? do you run airstones as well? I'm loving the setup so far I just wish i knew how it worked so I can make one for my tent. sub'd and +rep to you Mama

Thanks! +rep to u 2. Google under current DWC, my husband could explain it better than me so that's why I recommended google.Lol There are many under current guides online that are very easy to DIY. And yes airstones as well. Thanks for stopping by! :)

I feel like I need to get a DWC system in my 2x2x5 grow lab :(

Just soilin it up for now! Do you think DWC is easier once you get a handle on it? Or is it more finicky, yet rewarding?

IMO it is the ONLY way to go! :) My husband has been gone almost 4 days and I haven't had to do anything but add a little water. Seems like the combo of DWC and coco is so stable. No fluctuations in ppm or ph. It literally runs itself. The last time we grew was 10yrs ago and that was in soil, so I was a little worried going this route. But so far NO regrets!

I agree. I currently grow soil and DWC. Everything is easier with DWC, esp no soil to dump.
