So i have never grown before and recently an opportunity came about for me to give it a shot so here’s what I’m thinking, 8 by 16 tent with 8 600w HLG 600r in Kings mix royal gold coco coir along with one of these nutrient lines(i haven’t decided yet) BioBizz, Athena(blended), or house and garden and power si for addition strengthening. I am hoping to run 30 plants each in 5 gal vessels. Veg for 4 weeks flower for 8-9. Haven’t been able to find too many accounts of pests in the coco coir but if anyone has any good remedies please feel free to share. Also the smell needs to be kept to a minimum so i was thinking a series of carbon filters along with inline ozone emmiter only on the out line, again if anyone has any tips or tricks please my ears are open. And lastly i am looking for a device to monitor conditions and i like the pulse/pulse pro but i also like the idea of going with a more automated route with something like the trolmaster series x controller.

Damn son.. that’s easily a $7-8000 set up on the Tent and Lights alone. I think cooling and ventilation will easily be your toughest challenge. What are you planning on cooling that tent with? You’re gonna need multiple inline fans and oscillating fans. Also I’d run your out venting line outdoors and not recirculating it indoors if possible to make sure you have plenty of CO2 and your aren’t recirculating stagnant air

I’m aware of the investment as I’ve been doing a lot of research lately and i figure something of this size could pay itself back pretty quickly if done correctly and i guess that’s why I’m here to make sure i cover every base. For ventilation i was just thinking a 8inch carbon filter with 8inch fan thru ozone emitter directly outside with a couple if not 3-4 circulating fans inside the tent and a single 10,000 btu cooling unit depending on the circumstances also dehum/humidifier. Thanks for any input!

After doing some math, you could easily pull 9-10 LBS each run if everything goes right.. I mean that could be anywhere from $15-25000 worth of bud or more depending on what strain and where you’re at. You will for sure need more intake fan than that. I’d say at least 2 8 inch intakes especially if you are using carbon filters. AC infinity is the way to go when it comes to ventilation. Other than that seems like you are on the right track. I wish you luck !

Threw a lot of research i have read that these leds paired with good genetics and practice could yield up to 2lb a light is that irrational?

With LED lights, the goal is 1 gram per Watt. Some pro’s can exceed that but not by too much. I’m thinking just over a pound to a pound and a half per light considering you do your homework and run strains that are high yielders. You’ll definitely need to LST those girls if you want to push that yield up
