First Grow

Hi!

I'm completely new to this but I wanted to start my first grow wit the flood and drain system and I'm very exited but there are a few questions I still have:

1. Is it possible to start a normal grow from seed with this system? I'm thinking of using rockwool and clay ball combo.
2. How often and for how long should I flood? Is the mostly heard - 3x at light period for 15-25 min ok?
3. For a closet grow is it usually enough with the water that circulates in this system to get enough humidity? (medium size closet 130x80x60 = 4'2'' x 2'6" x 1'9")

Thank you in advance!

P.S. Really love the community here! You guys are great! Best of luck with all your grows and tons of buds per m[SUP]2[/SUP]! :peace:

1. Man is it possible? Of fucking course it is! Rockwool in clay pebbles (Combined with the flood and drain system) is probably the most effective way of growing hydroponically. Of course there's many factors that make this, but if you do it right you'll earn right.

2. I use rock wool cube in clay pebbles, i flood for 15 minutes every 3rd hour, so that's 8 times in a single day, from day 1 of growing i have done this and have never seen a sign of over or under watering it seems to do the job. You want to flood the rock wool so get your hose o what ever your using to transport the water and make sure it releases the water onto to rock wool and not the stem or completely running off on some hydroton that has no roots building over it yet.

(Hand watering for the first weeks of it's seedling phase, like once every few days it requires fuck all then so it's not to much of a hassle)

3. I don't see why humidity is such a big deal, i live in WA where temps are 30+ degrees and night time still won't fall below 20 degrees, and causes my humidity in my room to go from 60% to 30% in a few hours so i gave up on it and havn't worried about it since, nothing bad has happened so..? Plus if you want you humidity up put a bowl of water in there or a wet towel during vegging. You want your humidity as low as possible during mid flowering anyway.

Hope i've helped you out m8 and just ask if your unclear on anything
