Hey all first time grower here also first post i got my self a fairly noob set up small tent but 600W metal halide lamp and a small fan to cool my babies down i had a problem with what i think was nute burn in the first few weeks of growing but i think i got on top of it thing is i lowered my lamp the other day as i felt it was too high from the plants it was still 1 to 1 and half feet from plants but when i checked next day i had this bad yellowing on my biggest plant is it heat burn ive since put the lamp back to its highest height off bout 2 and half feet but man that lamp is so hot when i lean in tent to look close @ plants it burns back of my neck :/ ive attached some pics of my 4 babies please leave some comments on how you think they looking and also when can i put them to flower?

If it's too hot with your hand under your light, then it's too hot for your girls.
They're looking fine except for the burn.
Flip them when you like. Are you using the same bulb for flowering?
 
yeah thats what the plan is i was trying to buy on a budget therefore the metal halide as i read it has all the light spectrums needed for veg and flower is that right?
 
Your bulb should have a kelvin rating. The one I have is rated at 4700K. I just switched my HPS bulb out for this one in my flower tent. I just haven't been happy with the HPS. I use T5 to veg and they look great until they hit the flower tent and then they get tiny yellow dots (it's not bugs) that eventually cover the leaf. Starts in the middle of the plant. The only difference is the dang light. Soo...I switched it out!
