yea tin foil is`t the best choice, can create hot spots and burn your plants, get some maylor or atleast a emergency blanket, that works too, I just discovered I had one in my first aid kit, but you can get em pretty cheap online and the weight is next to nothing so shipping is free/low (try google)

and your plant look good, but a bit stretchy, as somebody already said, keep them CFLs close, 2-4 Inch`s is best IME and see if you can mount the other light rail beside the other one and fill em both out as the plant grow, a single 2700K in the mix wouldn't hurt either

a fan blowing some air around would also be a good idea both as they need fresh air/co2 and so the wind can strengthen the streams

also when you do your repotting (before 12/12) you should fill your pot`s up more and you can repot em with a inch of the steam under the soil

if your worried about hight, look in to scrog screen or atleast some LSTing

Here are some updated pics. All 3 plants have been treated identically, but I have a weak looking lady. Any thoughts on why she looks this way would be appreciated. I've added a small 4 inch fan to the cab since I was told it would help make the stems stronger. Could the issue with the weak one be that it's not rooting well? I can't really believe it's nute/water related as the MG potting mix/perlite mix I used came from the exact same back that I pre-mixed and I've watered them all the same. As always, thanks!! 6.24.4amWeakLady.jpg6.24.4am1.jpg6.24.4am2.jpg

Prop her up with a toothpick, put her close to the light and make sure she's got a breeze going across her, she should be fine.

No need to worry, everything is fine. Some girls will grow quicker, some taller, some slower, etc. Now that they are getting older you'll start to see a few differences, but nothing to worry about. Mg soil does fine, just remember patience patience patience, lol. They don't need nutes or anything to grow at that age.

Well, they do, but soil and tap water will give them everything they need for a couple weeks at least. Just get them on a good watering schedule (I used a sprayer, and still over watered BC I couldn't leave them alone).

Looking good man! Just be sure to read up as much as you can before they get too big, that way you understand what's going on before it happens.

This may sound dumb, but how do I prop her up with a toothpick? Do I just post one in the soil next to her and let her lean, or do you mean to actually tie her off to the toothpick? The reason I ask is, because at this point, the "trunks" are still really really thin, like coffee stirrer thin, so I was concerned they might be too stressed if I tied them off to something. Thanks!

You don't need to tie her off tight, just so she's got some support. Use a twist tie or something that may be a little wider than thread.

Thanks Ogonzo! I will do that. Also, the past couple of days I've switched from 24/0 to 20/4 and it seems like the ladies are liking it more. Maybe it's just my imagination and I'm seeing something better just because I want to, but the 2 stronger plants appear a bit more vibrant since then. Of course I've also backed off on the water too, so I may have been overwatering a bit too. I can tell this is going to be learning process of not just skill, but patience as well!

Switch your lights to 18/6 to mimic natural day/dark. Should never do 24/0, the plant needs time to rest.

Also for watering, stick your finger in the soil, if the first inch or so is damp, don't water. At first you may go 3 or 4 days, that's ok.

Post some pics, let's see how she's doing.

Looks awesome .. I'd turn those lights sideways and try to get them a little closer, looks like she's starting to stretch a little.

yeah defiantly scoot those lights closer to her.not to much but shes starting to reach for the sky cuz the lights are to far, cfls dont have a far light output or whatever i believe so the closer the better for the most part.

Thanks guys! I just put em into their dark cycle for the night. They are about 3 inches from the lights. I figure in the morning they'll be even closer. I have one leaf that had a bit of discoloration on it today. Not sure if it was because I let her get a little too dry or if she was a bit too close. They were pretty much bone dry before I watered them a few minutes ago. I was worried I had been overwatering, so I've started waiting until the pot is light. I still haven't decided if I'm going to transplant them or not. I don't have a lot of room, so I've thought about just trying to get a couple mini-plants. I know I won't have as much yield, but this is a trial run anyway. I'll make up mind tomorrow about bigger pots and do it this weekend if I am going to do it. Thanks again for all the tips and kind words. You guys are great!

I repotted a coupled of the girls today. This is 2 weeks from seed about 10 days from sprout. The original pot was MG potting mix/perlite. I've heard a lot about just using plain soil, so I used plain soil/perlite in the new pots and put some of the original mix in when I transplanted. You can see on the one plant that one leaf has a yellow spot. Other than that, I think they are doing ok. Any thoughts about how my ladies look at 14 days from putting seed directly in soil? 6.29.3pmplant1newpotside.jpg6.29.3pmplant1top.jpg6.29.3pm.plant2top.jpg

Looking good. I started some seeds recently as a late addition to my outdoor grow...they're still at that frustrating stage where they aren't doing much above ground.

Keep em green.

On one plant, I have a couple of very small, yellow leaves, it's the bottom most, newest. Also, on another plant, I have one leaf that is shriveled, and another that has a yellow blotch on the end of the leaf. I've been careful to not overwater, I wait until the pot is light, then water until some runs out the holes in the bottom. Also, I haven't added any nutes. I started them in 60/40 MG potting soil/Perlite. When I repotted, I used the same soil, and added just plain black potting soil from the dollar store and more perlite. Any ideas what could be causing this. I'm getting decent growth, so I wasn't thinking it was nutelock, but I'm a noob, so what I'm thinking doesn't really mean much! Other than those couple of blemishes, I think they look pretty good, the most recent pics I posted are only 24 hours old. I'm not really freaking out about it, but curious. Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks everyone!
