Grow for fun only

Led grow less water and nutrients, but more cal and mag.
Sorry for the delay- you're probably already harvesting, so don't worry about flushing this round. By "flushing," most mean they just taper off notes and only do ph'd water last week or so. This helps the plants naturally fade (consume excess stored sugars and chlorophyll) a bit before harvest. Stop feeding the slower plants now, if still under the light.Awesome info I will keep that in mind I did add a second intake to it I think it needs a larger intake tho still have some negative pressure but humidity it's much better now! Only day 50 but almost all hairs are orange ~90% and when viewed under 60x the heads are mostly cloudy with a few amber heads. And that's only on the lost cost hash pant. The cbd is a mix between clear and cloudy heads and hairs are about 50% orange. As for the other two they only have a few hairs that have changed color. And I haven't done any viewing under the scope for those two. So I cut the big nugs off the lchp last night and left the lower buds to finish they were significantly less developed. I hope this was not a mistake. Also due to the fact I wasn't expecting to harvest so soon (hso says 60 days for flowering) I missed the flushing. Not sure how big of a deal that is? I read in the grow cannabis bible that flushing can result in a 10% loss in weight for only a 5% increase in quality, if it's not done correctly. So I'm assuming it's not a huge deal at this point I'd rather have 10% more weight.
A lot of folks "lollipop" all veg and flowers off the entire lower 2/3 of the plant to focus energy on the top color. Others just let them do there thing with some light defol for air movement and help avoid mold. Kind of a personal preference thing, but also depends on the strain. LARF is good for making butter thoughAlso I noticed that most of the lower buds are small is this because I didn't do enough defoliation or is that normal? I did some light defoliation during last week of veg and also in week 4 of flower. I was also wondering if maybe I should have plucked those off early in flower? Would that have allowed the plants to spend more energy on the tops?
Check a few spots- top nugs and sugar leaves always go cloudy/amber first. Some people do a partial harvest and then leave lower half of plants under lights for an extra week or two to help finish lower buds.Ok thanks where abouts on the plant do you check top middle or bottom or a few spots?
Ok I have sort of started doing that I've been giving them half strength.Sorry for the delay- you're probably already harvesting, so don't worry about flushing this round. That plant is huge looking good did you flower under the 600w and the sp250 or just the sp250?
That would be cool to see the results with them both I guess I'd be curious to see what your dry weight is. I think I'm going to probably have a light harvest since I already chopped one plant to early but by the looks of it I must say the sunsystem 150w I had on the back two plants did a much better job of fattening up the buds as compared to the reflector 96 even before early harvest the back two looked like they had more bud sites. Hers some pics from this morningWhen veg i just put a 600w lamp there, and when flower i took away the 600w lamp and hang the new sp250 to replace it. i should put both of them in the room.
Yes those buds were under the 150 I have now moved the lights around to get more light to the back two plants the front two are looking to have mostly cloudy heads and some clear but no amber only on the top buds do I see amber and only about 10% ish. According to hso they should be ready in 60 days which is on Wednesday. Also I feel as if I can't fully say the mars sucks because now that i think about it it was closer to its max recommended hanging distance where the hps has been more in the middle. Guess we will see on the next grow.Of course i'll show you then bro i see your buds looks not soo ideal since the early harvested, maybe next time you can manage it better. Btw the picture attached there is great, are they from sunsystem 150w?
Canada's market is fucked. We can get decent b-rated nug for $30/ounce here in Denver Colorado. I still grow thoughAlso so far it looks like I'm going to have around 40 grams once I cut and dry the rest of the lost coast hashplant. I currently have low 30`s I just began curing the early harvest got 4 medium sized jars filled to about 75% full. Makes me wonder how much I would have actually had if I waited. When I fill my jars with store bough an ounce usually fits on one of those jars quite nicely. But that's good store bought. Quality since legalization hasn't been great which was a big push for me to start growing. I was sick of paying 200-300 an oz for dry popcorn lol.
Wow 30$ that's insane! I only wish it was like that here however now that I've started growing I dont think I'd want to stop.Canada's market is fucked. We can get decent b-rated nug for $30/ounce here in Denver Colorado. I still grow though
Also, dry slow slow slow! I'd take the exhaust vent out of your dry box, and increase your rh to 65% for your drying space. Should take about one week before the stems start to break instead of just bending. Then put into jars and start to burp/cure.
Ok sounds good I will try to get my rh up a bit for the next round of chopping. It would be nice if all of my plants were ready at the same time would save a lot of headache. I'm trying to deal with smell to and the chepo carbon filter is definitely going to get an upgrade for next round going to take a break to save some money for the new filter and some new ducting. I'd like to get 6" for the intakes on the tent I'm hoping that will help with the negative pressure. There isn't much negative pressure now but that's with 4 intakes I'm hoping to cut that down to one or two hopefully lol. And I'm going to go with an 8 inch filter of some sort. I'm also saving up for some new soil and organic amendments. Oh and let's not forget the tea brewer. I think I'm just going to make my own brewer and save a few bucks.Nice- yeah, 62% is your target RH inside the jars after all drying/burping is done. At that point, you can deal the jars and let them cure for as long as needed/desired without needing to worry about mold. If you dry buds to an RH below ~55%, then they won't cure.
I like very light indirect air movement (no fans blowing directly at the drying buds), and an RH of 60-65% in my drying space. This can be tricky if drying in same room as flowering other plants, since you usually want a lower RH of ~50% for flowering.. That all said, really depends on the strain (size/density of nugs) and if you trim before drying, etc. I'd just go slow as possible, and keep an eye on things frequently at first, till you get your system figured out. Drying is definitely an "art form" that you will need to get the feel for. Always best to jar early while still too wet, and then have to burp/dry a bit more before sealing for the cure. If you over-dry, no cure and you get fairly harsh to smoke "green bud"
