First grown NEED ADVICE

Hello folks,

I am nearing end on my first grow and I need some harvest advice. I posted pics of three plants and I'm itching to harvest but my inexperience has me hesitant because I don't see many "Amber" trichomes. Please take a look and tell me what you think.

AWESOME!! As dg stated a microscope is needed to clearly see the triches you don't need to spend HUGE $$$. BUT, be careful. I ordered a USB scope off e-bay.less than $18.00 w/shipping...worked for 1 minute and the then USB connector shorted. Company gave me a choice of replacement or refund. I took the replacement...2nd one same problem and it won't focus when it does work. Shop around I still am and I will find a good deal soon, they are out there.

I can vouch for the one I posted, it's the one I ordered over a year ago and still works. Has two dials to focus in and a nice bright led light. Takes one AA battery.

Thank you for the info. This is all new to me and with learning how to grow and trying to stay away from fake high priced gimmicks it's a lot to learn. I used CFL's and I'm pretty impressed with how they have performed but I still want to try HPS and bubbleponics. But that's a ways down the road, I want to get a few super soil grows under my belt and completely understand the growing process. Let me know what you find and if it works as advertised.

I saw that it is a very nice scope. I am looking for a USB compatible...I like to take pics.

Here are a few "closer up" photos, but still can't see the trichomes the way I need to see them.

I have a magnifying glass app on my phone would this work just as good?

Here's Mary if you want to compare, some of her trichs are still clear most have gone cloudy/milky. She'll be ready in about a week or so for chopping day. You can see that most of her frost is a whitish color.
can't hurt to try the magnifying glass app.
Set the resolution to the highest pixel count you have too.

hows the plants health ?

the frost looks pale to cloudy but 30 to 60x mag is best but seeing the whole plant zoomed out is good to gauge the health and bud development

You might want to finish it in 2 weeks or it may run another 6 weeks if its healthy and still getting fatter day by day

They are all 3 very healthy but the leafs are starting to die off and the leaf steams have turned purple. The buds have fattened up a lot which makes me more than ready to cut them down. From what I can tell with my magnifying glass there are about 10 to 20% Amber trichomes but then I'm not getting a very close up look. I know one thing, it smells like beautiful buds baking in the oven or some shit! Even after the lights have been off all night

yeah

looking nice

you could cut back the N and let them yellow by the end you just want to go with a weak K mix, I like sugar or molasses for the last 1 to 2 weeks, anything with some good levels of pk seems to work well up till then I like my fan leaves a lot more yellow than yours are by the time I`m getting ready to cut down want to make sure I did not grow the fan leaves and leave them on for nothing, but I`m fussy about the food and light I use I kinda just want it to end up being sweet leaf and buds.......... lol
