Who here is growing using the hempy method?
I had an extra clone so I decided to give it a whirl, threw it in a 3 gallon pot with a bag of perlite and threw it outside. It didn't get put outside until mid august, but I am liking the hempy.
Show me your hempy grows! Tell me what you think.

I have been doing hempy buckets for about a year now. I like the concept. I started with 5 gal buckets and have since learned that for my grow indoors, 2.75 gal buckets are plenty.

I like it a lot, it took a little while to get the feeding schedule dialed in but now that I'm there the maintenance is nice and easy. I am a much better hydro grower then dirt and I have a hunch I will be doing more of these in the future.

I have noticed less pests after getting away from soil. There is a Hempy Grower's thread. Lots of good info in there, that is how I got started. I learned to add 20% vermiculite to the perlite to help the root support the buds better so I didn't have to stake them all..

The thread is called - Hempy Collective Revised. It is a great read. You will see some of my White Widow in there.

Subbed. Hempy buckets are the shit since it combines the ease of soil with the control and growth rate of hydro. Discovered soil less mediums a few grows ago and I'm hooked. I've got a few plants in 2 gal buckets in a 600w scrog tent. Not much to see since the screen isn't very full yet but I'll get pics up once there is something substantial.

Your plant is looking really good and healthy, she must be loving it. What nutes are you using on her?

Growing some Nirvana Northern Lights with hempy right now. Used perlite/magikmoss 50/50 mix (magik moss at local nursery has peat/perlite/vermiculite) and for ferts mixed in Osmocote+/Dynamite 50/50. Doesnt get much easier. Just add water. The plants are kicking but.

This is a two liter hempy from my last harvest of white poison.

I like the Simplicity of hempys but ive added automated drip irrigation because I was sick of all the hand watering for my SOG.

hey xare ... bro what did you get off that one. Yu totally took my idea i have mad bottel and jugs. Im in the process of turning all them into "hempies" lol

And 4 the starter of this thread. I got love 4 ya bruh.
I just descoverd this whole hepmy bucket thing. I was an all " soil! soil! soil! freak hydro to much fuss." type guy. But now after seeing a grow wit a similar setup and like twice the product ... needless to say ive had a change of heart lol.
Ive read sum journals and seen many different mediums used. Perlite, verticultue, lava rocks, coco ,etc. I wounder whats the best mix.
Im leaning toward a lava rock bottem (to act as a screen or table or sorts) and a 50/50 coco , perlite mix but idk.
Tell me what ya think peeps

Nutes that are specially formulated for Coco have different elemental feed values then regular Hydroponic nutrients.

For this reason its not a good idea to use coco nutes in hydro applications, but you could go with Coco hempys. Maybe even mix the Coco with some perlite.

I get about a 1/2 ounce per on my lolly popped two liter hempys.
