Hello all,
As stated in the title... this is my first hydro grow...
In reality it is like my first true grow...i have had a few plants get about 2 months old...but the smell has always been to great to continue.
It is a 2x3x7 ft closet. Im now running a 6inch carbon scrubber with a 440cfm fan on a speed controler (set at medium). it dumps air into the next room.
I have 6 (4 showing female, 2 not sure yet) plants in an 18gal rez, running flora nova. The strain is supposed to be super silver haze.
I'm two weeks into flowering and am having smell issues. The fan is easily able to keep negitive pressure in the closet, but it seems to stink the entire appartment up. It's like the air is not being filtered enough.
I just bought a ozone generator, (ozn-jr) and put it in the closet (been in there for about 45 min). it is running 10 min on and 10 min off....
This is a basement appartment, and my aunt (lives upstairs) has complained about the smell.
I have a few questions,
1) should i turn the speed of the fan up/down/or leave it? (i likely have air leaks in the closet, so i will need negative pressure)
2) should i adjust the ozone schedule? 10min on and off seems high for such a small area.
3) I have read alittle about ONA, would it help me in this situation?
4) do you think I will be able to get rid of 100% of the smell while running the duct inside the appartment? I don't have the option to run it outside. but i need the smell gone.
