Does that lamp have the glass insert in it? im in awe that 1 1000w can do push the heat that high...but i think a big factor is how reflective those tents are..plus there lid hieght is restricted..like puttn on a rain suit to go running..ur on to something with making sure that fan doesnt suck its own exhaust back in2 the room..check ur cardboard rig daily on the window..IF thats a 4x8 tent u may wanna look at portable a/c units..but there spendy...u could buy 1 more identicle active air fan...mount it low in the tent..duct it thro the bottom..find another window somewhere else..buy the 25' ft of 6in flex duct u need...and blow ur cooler air in....youll be so happy one u can get to the 80's then u gotta work on gettn to the 60-70's or at least have the capibility to get it down to those temps..good luck bro
ya i have the glass insert on the hood and a thermal blanket! i got a 6.5 x 6.5 x 6.5 tent, its white in the interior to reflect the light (i dont know if the mylar is better or this white film???) TM i wish i could get it 70F 24/7 lol, that would be the shit. o and theres no other window near by unfortunatley! (but dude were about to move to another house and im building a 15x20 detached outhouse just for me and my ladies to grow peacefully! i cant wait waiting for the keys to the house and then im building away!) well a new inline fan and a portable ac are about the same price! which one should i get??? a fan which would be cheap on the bill or a ac thats guaranteed to get it cold but pay an extra $100 a month for it to run????? idk but im willing to do something i want it cold expecially since were coming into the summer and its just getting hotter outside! i havent heard nothin bout the chillers but if i do ill let you know. thanks
im with TM... get a portable a/c.. you cant run the exhaust duct from that near the tent exhaust... the only other thing i can think of is get a larger exhaust fan... or another one... the more air you pull out the cooler it will be... with your setup your really pretty limited... try an 8" exhaust fan... sunleaves has an inline exhaust fan, like yours, thats 650 cfm and is only 217.00... wormsway.com has them or you might find them somewhere else.. worms way is great.. but they are sorta pricey.. they also have a 6" fan that is 409cfm for 182.00... just gotta pull more air outta there is all.... if you get a portable a/c you should leave it outside of the tent and run the exhaust duct from the ac into the exhaust duct for the fan so it exhaust outside.. not only will it make your room cooler but it will make the passive intake air cooler... and the also since the outside of the tent is cooler it will help cool down the tent a few degrees too...
wat do you mean i cant run the ac duct that close to the tent exhaust? ya if i got a ac thats wat i planned on doing just throw it in my bedroom near the tent and exhasut it out the window and cool my room and have the passive intake suck the cooler air in the tent! or would it be better to throw it in the tent and exhasut it out the window??? should i get 2 inline or one big inline or a portable ac???????? i know with a ac ill be paying a lot more for pge but its guarnteed to get it cooler, but you think if i get another fan or a big ass one it will do the trick, wats your guys output? thanks
ive been saying it for over a week, if your room temp is under 85f you can keep the temps fine with more exhaust. and i also agree with the portable unit
its like 85 - 95 normally, sometimes hotter, its gotten up to 102F. so do you think i should get another fan or one big fan and that will cool it enough or should i get a portable ac and pay more on pge but guaranteed to be cooler in there wats your guys output and advice, im wanting to do something asap!! thanks
thank you everyone
