First indoor cfl grow yay!!!

well here it is folks. my 4 months of trial and error and pure i can do it attitude lol. I'll start with the beginning......a long time ago in a galaxy far far away....wait wrong story.....began with 10 seeds,bagseeds of course. still scared of the whole order online stuff. 8 of my seeds turned out male.buddy got robbed so i gave him one of my plants and now i have one. my girl started with alaska fish emulsion,blood meal and some garden lime.feed once a week.medium is mg peralite,and mg peat moss. all i could find at the time. do not make that mistake.ill use dirt from the backyard before i do that again.lots of problems with over feeding.figured out to flush the hell outta the mg b4 ya use it. vegged for 2 months. i know its a long time but it always looked too small to me. i used 2 23 watt 6500k and 2 23 watt 2700k cfls. topped once. way late i have learned.



so now i'm on to flower.......i got some samples from the good folks at bio bizz. perty freakin sweet stuff. no over feeding issues,my girl loves this stuff. i just tweaked theyre schedule a lil tho. cut the bio grow back to almost half of what they recommend. been in flower i think going on either the 6th or maybe the 7th week. i completely lost all track of the timeline. i threw away my chart i made lmao. never do ya maintenance stoned. a hard lesson. now she has 1 68w 2700k and 5 26w 2700k cfls on her. the 68w is under a homemade reflector. tore up an old hps that was shite and borrowed the aluminum. and my reflective material around her is 1$ car shades. gotta love that dollar store. well thats the story. if ya have any suggestions id love to hear them. also how long from the big chop does she look to yall?? try not to flame me too bad yall.

any comments or suggestions?? i guess no news is good news huh.........

forgot to mention the smell..........it is the weirdest smelling plant i have ever grown. she smells like tangerines............really sweet kinda tangy scent. like when ya walk outside mid summer and ya get that warm ocean breeze blowin through the neighbors trees............

sampled some popcorn tonite, still heady,very talkative. dosent help with the damn snow tho. ill post pics of my dryer and maybe a pic of the popcorn if i dont smoke all of it first. dont have a scope or anything like that. ill try to use the macro........new experiences are a good thing i guess.

WOW did she pack on a lil weight. overall id say damn near double the density at bud sites. new white hairs everywhere. her smell has changed a lil bit. was very fruity and tangy-ish, the fruit is there but its like it has taken a back seat to the heavy "skunk" smell. i wish there were scratch n sniff pictures lmao. after this burst in growth im guessing that it was the "6 week blast",so from here on in its just water. i think. ill check next week if she looks like she is still growin ill feed one more time. then it will be water fo sho. which leads me to another question......do i have to flush as long with organic ferts? im trying to get the best possible taste from her, so a lil extra long flushing could only be good for me rite?

i will post pics tonite. the last pics i took were shite. i tried macro for the first time and everything was all blurry. if anyone has any tips how to take good pics with a cheap camera i would be forever greatful. so i will take new pics tonite and i will get pics of my drying box as well.

i also threw in open area pic. also my rinkydink hanger box. i built it for popcorn bud and it worked out nice. 12v power supply...i dunno how i ever lived with out one. and finally one of my gnat bait. dish soap and water. works wonders.

how do you get samples from places??? would love to try some nutes out but they are expensive...

well its just a matter of writing them and asking pretty much. what i told them is just what you said to me. i would love to try them but they are so expensive and i cant afford to make an investment in something that will fail.

most companies will provide samples. some will only provide them thru your local hydro store,which does no good for me for i live in a timewarp.

thanx uk. the leaf burn is from the miracle grow soilless mix i use.peat moss and perlite. apparently all the slow release nutrients are not washed away with a good flushing. had to be explained to me. but this whole deal has been trial and error. im stoked that i even have buds lmao. lol the box was just for the popcorn i trimmed off. im gonna plastic off a space on down the line from her and put in a couple muffin fans for my dryin area. but thats a couple weeks away tho. mite change b4 then.

the new white hairs that popped up everywhere are starting to orange up a bit. im noticing more trics on most of the buds. for some reason the main cola directly under the 65w cfl is actually smaller than the one not directly under it. its not a big size difference but its defenitly there. maybe because of the reflector shape? its open on one end and bulb ends short of the end. maybe it reflects a lil stronger than directly under the bulb.??. dunno just tryin to figure it out. i did decide to only give water from here on in. is there anything else i should do to prep for harvest??

Your setup is incredibly similar to mine. I'm using a box of similar size too. How many fans are you using, and do you have a filter on the intake? I'm having issues with dust and crap getting into the box at the moment.

Also, it looks like you opted to grow upwards and just lob the top off. I've decided to simply pin the stem down to keep it horizontal (I think it's called "LST"ing?).

What sort of odour prevention are you using (if any)? Oh, and what size pot are you using

i only have a box fan in my grow space. blows iin under my reflective material on one side and out thru the top. keeps air moving well. i use no odor control. not to say something wouldnt be beneficial,just never tried anything yet. as for pot size its a five gallon bucket.

hellz ya man cfls are prety fukin sweet. im going to try just clusters of 26 watters for my nxt grow. hopefully i will have some good beans by then.


welll i decided to hervest early. one week early for sure. i was thinkin bout waiting till the hairs pull back in a little bit but i dont have that kinda time. i tthink drying will be done just barley in the nick of time as it is so heres hopin.
so i turned the light out last nite and im going to chop her early morning tomorrow. it may not help but ive always turned the lights out a day or two before harvest.supposed to help resin production but i jsut do it cuz thats how i learned to grow lol. old habits ii guesss huh. also turn the heat down a bit. i usually run it kinda warm cuz of the cold. i love them electric heaters. ill take pics before and after chop n harvest. ill try to have scales to get wet weight just cuz im super curious. well untill tomorrow yall..............

i harvested this morning. pretty fukkin happy with the outcome. she prolly could have went another week or so but like i said before i really dont have the time for that.
dude that helped me trim forgot the scales so i have no wet weight yet. i dont figure that there will be much of a differance by later tonite huh.? hopefuly he can get back in town,theres alot of damn snow out there today.
im charging the batteries rite now so i can have pics. of all things i forgot to plug in the damn camera.oh well. i will let the pics speak for themselves.
gonna dry till crispy then jar. is it good to use the little nugs for butter?? some say good others say its a waste. just want a lil input on that. saved all the trim dryin it in front of the heater so i can make butter this weekend. all in all i say im happy with what i got.

well after all my work and time heres my result. i feel its a decent harvest. could be better but hey fuck you. lol. dried for three days i think. ive been celebratineg a lil. i didnt get my jars because of snow issues. little cars with bald tires dont like snow storms. but i did have an old cookie keeper. so im using plastic to cure. i just hope it dosent flavor the nuggs any.
im makin butter tonite in da crock. cant wait this is going to be an experience for sure.
so lemme know what ya think of my nuggs. any guesses on weight. i only removed one lil nugg ill be good till scales arrive.
