First indoor grow, closet cfl grow currently 210 watts

ya am not going that far in LST till take months lol am only doing half of that. and shit am only using 4 26w CFL to grow 2 plants in vege. its growing fast and with nice tight nodes no stretch... only till today i had to let them stretch so i can tie the new growth down lol......am thinking maybe to add more light ill have the growing then lol. My flowering is going to have 300watts per plant. but nice plants

LOL I totally get the time line issue. I can't wait that long right now. Maybe once I have a solid stock built up in the curing jars, then I will do something more complicated. Maybe a 14 week Sativa with lots of training. For now I need faster and simpler. I'm already doing more than I probably should. I'm setting up to have a half dozen colas from each plant. I probably should have just vegged for 4 weeks and topped once, forget the LST and SCROG. Hell maybe I should have just done a 12/12 From Seed.

I still want to learn how to do the more complex stuff though. So thanks for the info. Tngrowman and I can really use the help.

Lol BC, its funny, I totally get the indecisiveness about growing techniques. There are so many methods and theories and it's almost like u want to try them all on ur first grow. I started out just planning on topping one plant and fimming one and letting the other grow naturally but I ended topping them all, some fimming and tying them down.

btw, purple has hairs showing already! I'll post pics later, all are going well since going to 12/12, they really do seem to be growing faster.

They should all be girls because the are feminized seeds, guess I forgot to mention that. Forgot to take pics before the lights went out, will get some up tomorrow.

So how is your scrog going?

Fem seeds. I missed that. Even better.

The SCROG is starting to happen. They need a bit more time to grow into it. I'm starting to get nervous about space though. If they double in the stretch I might have a hard time keeping things controlled.

I adjusted the side lights so they are under the canopy and shining up into it. Hopefully it will help a bit. They are no strong lights.

Can't wait for the pics.

your about to nute burn your little babies mate, personal reference and reference of most auto growers dont nute until 2nd week of seedling growth, the soil should have everything you need for the first couple weeks and then you can start nuting but half of what you normally would and move on from there.

Thanks for the advice, Turkilton. I was only having trouble when they were just little babies, lol. I didn't end up giving them nutes I just transplanted them all and they all recovered nicely. Check out some of my newer pics, they are looking great. I have been trying to get some pics of their new hairs but have been busy, should get some up tonight for all to see.

First pic is all three ladies, 2nd is Northern Lights, 3rd is Purple Haze, 4th is White Widow and last two are purple haze showing her hairs.

The NL also just started showing tiny little hairs today, no hairs on the WW yet.

Should I be doing any pruning? Maybe cutting fan leaves covering bud sites or near the bottom of the stalk in the dirt? It's almost like these girls are too bushy, lol?

What size pots are they in? It is really hard to tell the size now.

Thanks man! They are in 12 inch pots, think that would make them about 3 gallon pots.

Very nice for a first grow!

Once I got my first grow out of the way (which I vegged for too long and had to LST like crazy!), it gave me a 1/2 pound to cook and smoke, so my second grow, I have set up some tests. You stated 12/12 from start, so I thought I'd share with you what I'm doing. The full details are in my 12/12 thread in my sig, but essentially, I'm working on a pattern where I have a perpetual, harvesting between 2-6 plants every two weeks. I've got 15 plants in the flower tent currently, and I expect the taller of the strains to reach 22-26" at end of stretch. My most recent post in that thread shows how compact my setup is:

The math is just getting started, but I started my first 2L buckets on the 16th of last month, then more on the 22nd, then more on the 29th.

I have so many plants going now for my current needs, I can throw some away if they don't seem to fit. Right now, I have four that are nearly done stretch.

My tent is 12/12 at all times, and I have a tiny veg/clone area under my bar with some mylar thrown up and 6 CFLs on 24/0. Every week, I put more clones from the cloner into 2L buckets, fill the cloner back up, and repeat.

Next weekend, I will remove any that aren't doing well, and hone in on the number of plants I want to put in every two weeks.

now they are fucking gorgeous my friend !! i shall doing the EXACT same as your grow pretty much but mines on a much smaller scale (less room, less lights, one plant). from what ive been listening to and reading up on here just push the fan leaves under your budding site. the fans are one of the most important parts of the part, they do nearly all the photosynthesis for the plant also they stored most nutes in their leaves - hense why your leaves turn yellow when full budding comes in - so just move them out the way but please dont cut them off i would cry to see you harm those plants they are beauts!!!

Thanks for the compliment. I've read the same thing about tucking the fan leaves under the buds so I don't think I will be cutting off any leaves unless they are dead or something. Just wondering if anyone had done it and had success. This is my first grow so I want to try a lot of different techniques to find what works the best for me.

its best to just tuck because i done that to one of my plants a while back and oh my it just went down and down hill once you lose those fans your fucked!!! and you know this mainlining stuff is fucking crazy!!!

Update Time! They are all looking good, on approx day 15 of flower, First pic is all three girls, 2nd is White widow, 3rd is purple haze, 4th pic is Northern lights x skunk #1 and last pic is purple haze buds.

I just added another light to put me close to 450 watts most of them are 2700 light spectrum.

I am still using FF trio of nutes at half strength every other watering.

Comment?? suggestions??
