First Indoor grow, Expert Oppinion welcomed/needed, Thanks :D

High guys :P , I am planning on a indoor grow and have found a space that is 8ft-W X 6ft-L X 9ft-H. I am planning a grow of 10 Easy Ryder plants. The reason I write you my fellow farmers, is because I am unsure of the lighting arrangement. I have the oppritunity to buy a friends gear, 2x600 Watts w/ digital ballasts, should I take this arrangement or opt for a 1000w light. I hear a lights penetration is key to yield so would a 1k light be sufficient to take these girls from start to finish and produce the optimal lighting? last question, I promise, would 2 1000Watts be over kill (I suppose you can never have too much light).

I ask you these questions because I honestly have no clue what I am doing when It comes to indoor growing/lighting. I'm use to the sun spoiling me, and from the research I have done, I don't think I trust my opinion on what would produce optimal lighting conditions.

Thanks in advance for all help, I look forward to discussing the grow with those of you interested in following this grow from start to finish :D

Will do, I definitely want to document it all, not only for personal satisfaction, but so that you guys can enjoy sharing my progress and failures with me :P that is assuming I can get my indoor noob questions answered by a seasoned vet :D

Yea, I thought about that, but would 2 600s produce the optimal lighting for the plants? I kinda have it in my head that the 1000 would be better because it would produce a stronger light, but then again I am unsure, thats why I am asking you kind folks who have more indoor experience.
