First Leaves

I just wanted to know how many weeks it takes for a seedlings' first leaves (I think they are called water leaves) to yellow and fall off

mine stayed green for about 5 weeks into veg. i clipped them off around 6 weeks.

im wondering if cutting them off earlier than needed will force the plant to form new growth :\

no, they are only to help get the seedling started, after the first few sets of leaves come out, those two small leaves are no longer usefull and cutting them off isn't gong to help any, if you do it too soon it might even stress the plant but it really doesn't matter as long as there are more leaves for the light to hit.

Just a day later and now one of the first leaves is now about to fall off
