First Med Coco Grow - finished

I been getting around ...... gearing up to get indoor roaring

OK, so I worked on the veg room today, because I wanted to put the clones in pots. So its almost done. I need to put in the exhaust, oscilating fan, milar, pond liner and I am think I'll have it licked.

So I a patient that I am going to grow for on my next grow was supposed to get the light set-up. 400 MH and two 4' floros. Well he did, but they aren't grow specific. What that mean is I have a street light and two industrial florecent lights. So the lighting may be temporary, we'll see how it goes. I am going to pick up some grow floro bulbs tomorrow.
There is also a new development I am not sure exaclty what it is. A couple of the clones that I just moved to coco have suddenly developed white shit on the edges of the fans. I have no idea what this is. They were green 5 hours ago
I'm going to try and look this up, but if anyone know what it is, please do tell.

The girls are definatly stretching. Siince I bent the main shoots toward the center of the screen while training them, the middle of the screen is growing higher than the rest..

I did some aggressive trimming today. I basically removed everything that wasn't at or above the screen. Everyday I have pulled a few tops under the screen and fed them back up through to try to even out the canopy. I think most are where they are going to stay. I don't want to snap one off by pulling them back under the screen. The medium seems to be drying out a little faster now, so I may start feeding every other day instead of every 3 days until the stretch is over.

As far as the veg room goes, I thought I was done. When ofcourse there is a problem. lol I put in two 4" 80 cfm fans in, one exhaust and one intake, turned on the lights and within an hour it was 92 deg in there. So for now I turned off the "street light" 400 MH. I picked up 4 grow bulbs for the T8s. I think I am going to give back that shitty light ( thanks, but no thanks) and go pick up a 250w instead.
I put the pond liner in the bottom and coved it up to form a basin with a drain in the middle. Then I put a screen( I think it is the same shit they make rabbit hutches out of) accross the bottom. I will be hand watering so I want the run off to be able to drain. I will be moving another 6 clones from the cloner in there tomorrow.



Seedlings.. well my buddy that I will be growing his medicine for, had 24 seeds he has collected over the last few years. He has no idea what each is( bag seed). He put them in two small cartons( yes 12 in each) and threw them under his stove top floro. Half of them sprouted. The problem is there is 6 or seven in each small carton. Last night I seperated 6 and put them into individual plastic cups with holes in the bottom..what a pain in the ass to seperate them. Anyway, I will seperate the rest tomorrow. We'll see what we get out of them. I told him I will not be growing any sativas, so I expect after we sex them and eliminate the sativa we might have a few we can put in the next flower cycle.

A quick update on the veg room--
I picked up a set of quad 4' t-5s. I am going to grab another one on Monday. I have decide to run all foros in this box. two dual t-8s and two quad t-5's. I will veg in this box for 6-8 weeks and then veg another week to 10 days under 2000w MH before I switch to 12/12 HPS.
I lost half of the seedlings today. My buddy told me today that he had knocked them over the day he brought them over, which would explain why half had broken stems. So now there are 7 seedlings. I am hopining we end up with 3-4 females.

Mothers?? I plant on taking mothers from the seedlings and the best looking pk clones. If you mean am I keeping the mothers under the floros, then that was what I was planning on. The rest will veg under t-5's then transition to 7 gal pots and another 7-10 day veg. under MH Whatcha think?

Not much to report today, so I I thought I would just throw up a few pics. They are defintaly stretching. I thought I would try my good camera out..let me know if you can tell any difference.

good job, they look healthy. My setup is almost exactly like yours, just in soil. stop by sometime

Looks real good to make your pictures come out rite you need to set your setting to Tungsten and set your colors to custom take a picture of a white wall lights on save that as your color and they will all look like your last two pics..Hope this helps JACK....

Thanks garensbro. I apprleciate the props, although I have some work to do on the veg room.The humidifier and oscilating fan are just kind of set in there now and I have been taking the plants out and watering in the bath tub. That will not work for long. I am going to have to set-up another reservior/hose/wand this weekend.

Thanks Jack, I will try that out. That is my digital SLR and it has so many settings, I need to play with it some more..I have been using my compact digital cam, which worked decent under the MH, but the HPS is much different.lol I appreciate the tip!

Flower day 8 -
They are really starting to stretch now. The canopy is completley covering the trays now. just in case you missed it, the there are two rows of 7 gal pots down the middle of the trays..which leaves about 8 inches of spase on eachside..or 16"x48" inches of unused space in the trays.
My next round will have 9 pots in each tray which will make the trays full with 18 total. (I will be growing another prop 215 patients 6 plants) So anyway the reference to the extra space was to give an idea of the width of this bushy strain. I tried to take some close ups .. I didn't mess with my good camera.. so sorry if they aren't great.

I lost one of the clones that I put in pots two days ago and 2 others look shocked-3 are fine..It appears I didn't pack the coco around the roots. When I place them in the moist coco, I make a light bulb shaped hole for the roots. Well I didn't pack a few of them enough to push the coco snug around the roots, leaving an air pocket around the roots. The rest of the clones look good and the 6 seedlings look ok.
