Im an indoor grower but decided to throw a plant outdoors this year. Question for those who have experience in both environments: does the plants outside seem to "frost" more than the indoor ones? My plant outside is frosted over much more than I have ever had indoors. I'm talking frost to the tips of the sugar leaves. I'm lovin this.

All I will say is you can't compare a light bulb to the sun.
 
The strain is Mambra Negra auto. It was a free seed that came with an order; planted in a five gallon cloth pot, Fox Farm Ocean Forest, fed with a mix of Dyna Gro Foliage Pro + Protekt and compost teas.
 
It's weird so many people down the quality of outdoor saying it's inferior to indoor ......however the people that I grow medicine for are always looking forward to some good quality sun grown meds .....I think great meds can be grown both ways but il always enjoy growing enormous outs ....I find it more relaxing/enjoyable hobby wise ....and my frostiest buds have been grown outdoors over the years for sure in very sunny locations ....not saying indoor can't be frosty as hell cause it can ....good luck happy growing

I think you can compare them indoor is more valuable,Take Blue Dream for example outdoor is worth $500 a LB to make wax or edibles indoor is worth about $1800 as smoke and is sold in most collectives.

But all my outdoor has been top notch ever since I started!

Indoor may look better, and may be more potent...

I'll still take my own meds I've grown myself any day over that harsh top shelf at the clinic.

I still get stoned and like the taste of my own outdoor organic better then the indoor stuff, I'm also in Los Angeles, so that KILL is literally at every corner from me for only 10 a g.

Here's a pic of a night queen auto I've been smokin on, harvested maybe a month ago.

May not smell like indoor, but sure as hell looks like it.

that's Just basic economics though, indoor has a higher cost of production with lower yields. And I think people associate those higher prices with higher quality

I've always seen better quality indoors vs outdoors - outdoors gets beaten on by rain, hail, more pest, strong winds, etc. indoor usually has a little better appearance. Although I will say that this year I am running outdoor, greenhouse & indoor. So far the greenhouse is producing way better quality then indoors or outdoors. Smell is wayyyy stronger and just as frosty/light green as indoors. Power of the sun in an indoor environment ;)

I wouldn't know, but everything I've grown outdoor has an extra layer of potency with more unique smells than anything I've grown indoor or had from friends indoor setups. Plus why burn tons of coal to grow some weed indoor when you can grow more an better outdoors for practically nothing.

Outdoor is easier to grow in the sense that nature takes care of a lot of beginner mistakes for people - which could therefore increase quality.

Don't get me wrong, I by far prefer growing outdoors, but I think it's hard to beat indoor quality (if you have everything set up/dialed in properly) unless your growing greenhouse outdoors. Indoors you can create a perfect environment for plants. Perfect temp, humidity, etc. biggest advantage to outdoors is you can't beat the sun. Hence, an environmentally controlled greenhouse will beat both outs & ins. You can supplement light there to for those cloudy days..
I just don't really understand where the argument comes from. Seems like common sense. I've seen thousands of pounds over many years grown both outdoors and indoors in Cali, Oregon, Washington & Colorado. In all states, the indoor has always won as far as appearance, smell & taste (assuming the grower of both is good - a pro grower outdoors can produce better outs then someone who is semi-good to good indoors, but have that pro grower grow an indoor an outdoor crop, the ins will come out better). Seems like it's always the outdoor growers who sell outdoor that say outdoor is so much better... I just like to smoke whatever taste the best & is the most potent, so that's what I've always gone for.

Get yourself a greenhouse and enjoy the best of both worlds as forever green has found out.On a hot day it is nice to look at your plants in a nice cool environment and enjoy some smoke and a drink.I like all weed indoor,outdoor & Greenhouse and don't have a sharp enough eye or taste to tell where they are grown.

You growing in hurricane Hugo or what Jesus Christ .....don't have any of those issues except a strong breeze through some of my gardens from time to time which I don't mind at all mostly calm nice weather not what you mentioned above at all not even close lol As far as pests both have there issues as far as cost to grow ....you know the answer to that .....the potency thing between the two is BS been around this shit forever and .....none of the people who need mmj are ever sad or upset about getting some good outs
