First Personal Harvest: 70.3 grams (2.5 Ounces) dry from my Single Plant! (pics)

So this is my first grow and I was lucky enough to be able to harvest my single plant. I named her Kate and her strain was Big Buddha - Cheese and is from The Attitude Seedbank. She was grown in Fox Farm Ocean Forest Soil and was fed FF nutes. She was flowered under 150 watt HPS with four 42 watt cfls surrounding her for side lighting.

At the outset of my growing experience (Sept09), I was hoping for an ounce(28g) per plant I grow. After harvesting and drying, the buds weighed out to an astounding 70.3 grams! This makes me super super satisfied. I cut all of the significant stems off and weighed only solid bud as well so stem weight is not a factor. The buds have begun the curing process and have been placed into glass container with an air tight rubber seal. The container is in my dresser droor and will remain there (except for bi-daily moisture ventings) for 3-5 weeks. I plan to lose 10-15 grams to the curing process which'll leave me at around 60 grams.

What do you boys think!?

Great job man!

Did you use the powders? I did the same thing with my first grow but I only used the Fox Farm liquids. My buds came out super fluffy and I was wondering if that was my problem.

mine are pretty fluffy too for some reason. I have had fluffier tho.

And yes, I used fox farm liquids, no powers for me. I just think the are fluffy cause I couldn't muster up enough lumens.

And 3 oz's is average? Damn. That'll be a tough goal to accomplish with just my 150 hps. Guess everybody needs goals...

your planning to lose 10-15 grams? it is said, that you should expect a quarter of original wet weight, so probabley looking at an ounce dry at a guess?

hes planning to lose the 10-15grams in the curing not the drying i think its already been dried if hes now curing it.

nice..average is 3 oz per plant. So you did well.
average for what? the lights he used? or a soil grow? the nutes he used?

i personally have only had 3 grows all in soil and have never yielded less than 4oz a plant, my last yield was 13oz from 2 plants.

you see guys on this forum getting 10oz a plant so dunno really wair you get the average from???

thanks for all the props sambo. feels good when some appreciates your hard work. and yes, it has already dried. The wet weight (with stems) was 235.7gs and now I am down to 70.3 so I have already lost alot of water weight.

1 or 2 plants under a big light you will get more then 3 oz. In a grow with severa;l plants its 3 oz is average. Out doors ya can get pounds from 1 plant.

Yo, nice looking buds what strain? I wanted to know how your leaves got like that? Mine did the same shit when I burned them with flowering nutes, wondering if that caused it.

Awesome grow, duno about a 3 oz average, I'm harvesting my 1st plant in 8 hours, cant sleep so stoked. Ill be happy with an ounce or more from my little 2 gallon bucket grow. Congrats, how does it taste???

grats on a good harvest man, those kind of results are exactly why i regret not playing with topping in my first grow. you can bet my BlackJacks will be topped though!

Who cares about zips per plant??? You should be more concerned about grams per watt.
well considering iam only doing 3 plants in my closet, its far more feasible (especially with T5HO fluoros) to hope by the ounce than by the watt. guess its just a different take on the same thing.
