Started some Carameliciousseeds from Amsterdam seeds a while ago and need some help. The plants are three weeks old in a balanced soil grow with a good Ph, I'm using six cfls 6500k 42 watt running 24/7 in a stealth freezer grow in my garage, I have two computer fans running with a average temp of 72 degrees. My plants are in 6" pots about 2 inches under the lights. lately they are growing about a half a inch a day. They seem to be growing bushier than taller, not sure if my lights are too close or what. I was wondering when to flower and when to change to flowering nutes. I water about every 3 days when the plants are dry and soak them every time. I also was thinking are they root bound and should I transplant them or leave them in the pots they are in since it is a stealth grow and I don't want them to grow more the 20 " high. I have tube fluorescents I will install in my grow cabinet once the plants get taller for side growth. Also should I change some of the 6500k to 2700 for flowering.i'm enclosing a couple of pics for help.

I'm currently on my first grow and mine a super bushy as well from having cfls so close. I had my cfls in the exact same set up as you. They are going to grow more bushy with limited space so imo they look great.

Nice looking plants! Since you're growing stealth, I would consider it a good thing that they're growing bushier; more lateral yield. You can start using flowering nutes about 2 weeks after starting a 12/12 regiment. As far as switching your cfls, it couldn't hurt. When you're using an High Pressure Sodium or Metal Halide lamp, you don't have to worry as much about spectrum because they're getting enough light, but with cfls, you're going to get much less yield, so, like I said, it couldn't hurt. But, if I were you, I would just invest in a lower wattage HPS. You can pick 'em up pretty cheap on ebay and use the cfls as supplemental lighting. I think you might have to transplant, it looks like they could get root-bound. You don't have much room to work with but it looks like you might be able to fit 3 gallons in there. Happy Growing!

Your Plants look great! They are growing exactly as they should. If you want them to end up at 20", I would start flowering them between 6" and 8" as I am not familiar with the strain and its 12/12 stretch. Are you flowering in the cabinet that they are currently in? I like to grow them to 2' - 3', then LST them under 12" and flip to 12/12. I do not believe your plants are root bound at this time. You could go all the way in those containers, I have gone all the way in 16 oz Beer cups, pulling from 1/2 to 1 oz each. I also run veg nutes till the end of the 2nd week of 12/12 so they dont start yellowing as soon.
