First Pruning Butcher?

So, first grow and first prune. Did I mess it all up by cutting off this on accident too lol? This is a different plant i can't seem to get a good pic of the one i messed up but i cut the main stalk and one of those things on the side. Will it grow back or is this death? Thank you.

I once dropped a light on a plant I'd been babying it's entire veg/life, broke several branches, split a main stem. Plant turned out to be one of best plants I've ever grow.
