Hello Rollitup,

In another post I mentioned everything I had for my flowering room. Since then not much has happened. Today I finally got out and got my cloning/mother racks. Also I picked up 2 clones. 1 is a Blue Dream Clone and the other 1 is a Platinum OG clone. At the moment they are sitting in a Clone Dome. They are being lit by T5, 2 foot 4 bulb Sun-blaze by Sun Systems.

Now here are my questions =D I know these are nub questions. I have an idea of the correct way to go. I've spent numerous hours reading and researching from this and other grow sites. I've also spent tons of time speaking with others. But like most people on their first grow, I'm simply too afraid to mess up =) So any advice or tips on the way would be appreciated and will be given rep :leaf:

1) I plan on making these 2 plants as my mothers. How will I know when to transplant them into soil? I have a bag of Foxfarm Ocean Forrest.

2) Should I keep these in the clone dome still?

2) How often should I feed/water them? I also picked up a bottle of Foxfarm Grow Big.

I have attached a few pics of my first day.

The first pic is the Platinum OG roots. The other pic of roots is of the Blue Dream. The Platinum OG is a about 2 inches taller and have better root mass. The side by side pics, the Blue Dream is on the left and the Platinum OG is on the right.

As soon as you see roots, you can transplant.

No need for the clone dome anymore, they already rooted (the dome is for humidity which helps the roots initially develop)

Just follow the directions for your nutrients. I personally use FF nutrients myself, so I would give those a 1/2 tsp GB per gallon with the next watering. The soil itself you have contains nutrients, but the clones look like they could use a little more.

Hope this helps. Good luck and happy growing!

This morning before leaving to work I went to go check out the root growth. Holy shit!!!! The roots filled out the rock wool over night!!! WOW...Do they really grow that fast?

After work I transplanted the babies to 4 inch pots filled with Fox Farms Ocean Forrest. I also gave them a little bit of water to moisten the soil. I've read too many forum post where their plants were over watered. How do I know if I am over watering?

Anyone familiar with Blue Dream or Platinum OG? If so please link me your grow journal if applicable =D

Again, these 2 ladies will be my mothers. I plan on taking it slow and easy. I think 2 plants will be manageable for now. once I can make a couple mothers out of these, my goal is to do a 24 plant S.O.G. once I have enough growth to clone.

Please Discuss =D......

I was told to get a small fan for my babies. But everything I can find would seem too strong for them. What kind of fans are ya using? I'm not having heat issues at all, I suppose it would just simulate wind.

Fans are'nt just for heat . The leaves of the plant only "breathe" the air around the leaf . The fan churns the air around the leaves to keep fresh CO2 around the plant.

So its been a little over a few days since I brought these babies home. I have moved them up to 1 liter cups. The roots on the Blue Dream and Platinum OG filled up the 3" square pots fast. I have also added 3 more babies. Two Querkles and a P91 for those not from San Diego it is named after Poway (a suburb of SD) and the year 1991 (the year that this strain was introduced into SD and the year the grower got busted).

I have also fed all 5 babies with 1/4 strength Fox Farm's Grow Big and Big Bloom.

How are they looking?

Anyone have experience with these strains? I know a little about these strains. But any input will be appreciated and will return with rep! =) Thanks

fans are a must. as far as experience with the strains ive seen og grown, its not to tricky to grow. you really gotta just grow the plant and learn what it likes and dosnt like. feeding levels ect.

Thanks for the tip. I forgot to mention that I have the cups lined with myalar sheets. I took them off for the photo-op =). I have them in those cups so I can monitor root growth. With just 1 day of transplant the roots have half the cups full. Maybe in a couple days I can transplant them to their final pots

So I got bored and took pictures of the area I will be flowering in. It is a 8 x 4 Tent with a 7.5 feet height. I have a couple babies in there just to test out to see which lighting method would be best to veg with. The tent has 2 600 watt HPS. As you can see it is not complete, I am still missing my carbon filter, CO2 and the ventilation system. This stuff isn't cheap. Ill pick up an expensive piece weekly. Hopefully I will have enough clones to sog the hell out of this tent by the time building is complete. I may even scrap the whole tent and use the whole bedroom to flower in and use the tent as the mother/veg/clone room. If you are tuning in, the clones you see will be my mothers.

I maybe missing something that I will need to add...lol This hobby keeps getting more and more expensive. Hopefully it will pay off. My idea is to grow once a year. Club prices out here are ridiculous. $55-$60 eighths. This past Thursday I over heard a cultivating member get turned away because they were stocked. Yet their prices have not dropped. Something odd is going on here. Business 101 says if there are ton of available supplies and if the market is flooded then prices should go down. Well at least that's what I got out of it..lol I just smoked some J1 and I am typing and rambling for no reason.

STAY TUNNED...

Still looking great man, I saw you asking about Blue Dream and the OG.

That video set is Blue Dream gown start to finish, sublbc really knows what he's doing, I'd watch and learn :leaf:
Thanks Bro! + REP! The dude seems to know what he is doing. I remember following his first Blue Dream grow and few months ago. I still dont know if I want to go hydro or stick with soil. I guess I have a bit of time to think about that. Im still growing the mothers.

Go both man, his ebb and grow buckets with coco takes the best of both worlds. Frequent watering with a PH monitored solution in a medium that can contain a beneficial rhizosphere.

I have a lot of respect for Corpsman, as a Marine I was stationed at MCRD for a while, not just bootcamp, and went to Coronado quite a few times. I miss San Diego, rad party city with all the colleges. Bonfires at OB and DB and PB with all the college kids, gas-lamp district downtown, and TJ 20 minutes away.

What up Rollitup,

Another update here. Just want to show how much the girls have grown....

-The Platinum OG pictured to the far left has good tight nodes but for some reason the fan leaves aren't growing much. Is this normal for an OG strain? The roots are really big and ropy

-The Blue Dream pictured to the far right is growing like a monster. Good tight nodes and great fan leaf growth. Im loving the roots on this thing. Super huge ropy roots.

-The P91 is finally taking off. Really nice tight nodes (pictured second to the left). Hopefully She will hit a growth spurt soon.

-The Querkle pictured second to the right. When I first got her she looked almost dead. All the leaves were yellow and very little root mass. Now she is finally turning green. Roots are starting to thicken up.

If anyone has experience with these strains please let me know. Looking to pick your brain =P
