first real ebb and flow pics. what do you guys think?

nice bdt! Your info has been well taken. just starting my F&D. was only flodding 1 time during the 12 hours when i first moved my clones into flower and i think it dried the roots out and strssed them as they didnt elongate in the stretch phase. i will make sure i water 4 times daily from now on!

hey there hx, are you growing in rockwool or hydroton? cause when i was using 4" rockwool i would only water once a day for the first couple weeks of veg more than that would sometimes get waterlogged.. hydroton needs water way more frquent every 1 to 4 hrs depending on you setup heat and so forth.. after using both i say hydroton is the way to go..

BDT thank you. I was thinking of 1/2 strength for nutes to start, but its sounds better comming from someone who has done it b4. I am going to flower at 12 inches and see what happens with this strain. I am going to run 1000 watt MH for the first 4 weeks of 12/12,then switch to HPS for the last 4 to 5 weeks and see if that will keep the stretch down. My room stays 75 deg. day and night which really helps keep stretch to a minimum anyway. But you know how it is with a new strain you have never run b4...lol.

imo you should use the hps all thru flower. if you can put an mh and hps at the same time that would be best but for flower i recomend hps all the way.

I only have the 1 light. but a duel ballast. I only wanted to run the MH to try and reduce stretch and keep internodel spacing tight, I thought it would give better main stalk plant formation and less branching as I want to grow single cola plants. I know I will still have to prune plant for that, but with less stretch it may help keep trimming branches to a minimum and afford less plant stress.
