First (real) grow-bagseed & NL x Skunk

Ok so this is my first grow w seeds ive bought or wtvr so ima see how this goes. Im using a 400 watt hps light, and organic choice miracle grow (dont hate..)Ill be focusing on the bagseed for now until the NLxSkunk shows some more growth. (btw germed 4 of 5 g13 fem seeds) so heres some pics of the setup an whatnot, the plants are a week or so old. Im kinda experimenting so i used 2 diff soil mixes for the bagseed, 1 mix with perlite an 1 with vermiculite.
What seems to be the problem with the one in vermiculite? The one in perlite seems to be doing better. Does this look like a ph problem because i do have a ph meter but its a shitty one from lowes. All imput/suggestions appreciated.

Ok big fuckup..never use fuckin vermiculite, no idea where that costly ass idea came from but apparently vermiculite dryed out 3 of 4 NL x skunk seedlings (first pic, all three seeds looked like that :[ )
The one i planted in miracle grow organic choice, w perlite seems to be doing ok ( seedling pic ) and i still have 1 NLxskunk i havent germed..so ill be germin it today.

This is kinda lame, a full week and #1
is still having problems shedding the shell.
#2 is showing first leaves.

plants look good. sorry to hear about the seeds that died on you. I've heard that when a plant can't shed its shell you can take it off gently. good luck

Your grow looks great man.. And for being a week into it and already have 2 set of leaves your doing an above average job..
I need to get that HPS on my babies QUICK if that are the results!

I just ditched my cfls for the hps I had.. Unfortunately I only have an exhaust right now but am getting the intake in a couple of days..

Sup man, sorry to hear about the withered seedlings. I've pissed away quite a few seedlings with simple mistakes, some real prized genetics too. But hey, thats how you learn. The seedlings are looking good though, I'm sure they'll reward you quite nicely. Cant wait to see some more pics man, +rep.

Hey FirstTime...I use FoxFarm Ocean Forrest. I also used this Roots Organic stuff. Worked out great for me. My local hydro store told me to stay away from Miracle Grow. Pretty much all my nutes and soil come from Humboldt. They know what they're doing up there. Its worth spending the extra bucks for the reward.

Yeah im gettin happy frog for the two NL's.
And ill be using the foxfarm 3 pack, grow big,tiger,
and big bloom. Thanks for the imput man, more pics coming soon

Ok well my cameras broke for now (kinda lame i know)
Tomorrow #1 will be 2 weeks old and #2 1 week 5 days..
I noticed their growth in the past few days has slowed, i
checked an sure enough - root bound. Transplanting
to some miracle grow (with the time release shit, all i could get)
with some perlite. Think they will be ok?

They should be fine..just dont add any nutes.

howd they turn out?

why even put links to your grow journal in your sig if you don't even finish.....
