Hey all! I have grown twice before, but due to circumstances beyond my control (and lack of knowledge) neither yeild was what it should have been. Now I have been approved for medical usage so the need for stealth isn't so great. I will be posting our progress here and if anyone has any advice, comments, or wants to share and compare with their own grow please come post and chat.

The room we have now has been divided into 3 cubicles. 2 on one side and one on the other all measuring approx 3'x3'x4'. The fourth cubicle was turned into shelves and cupboards to store things such as nutes, pH tester, scissors, blades, and the like. The inside is 2 mil mylar and we have built adjustable fixtures for our cfl's. There is constant airflow in and out, and the temp stays at about 77 degrees.

To start, we sprouted 3 mid grade bagseed and they are 3 weeks old and doing good. We just received our Super Skunk bean order and started germinating yesterday. We will be doing a mix so as to be able to determine which one I like the best for my medicine.

Can anyone tell me how long it should take for the tap root to appear?
If it doesnt appear in the specified amount of time should I plant it anyway, or is it for sure a junk bean?

Thanks for reading & Happy Gardening!:peace:

Well, today I have tap roots on two of the Super Skunk and one of the Mango. Some will be going into rockwool, and some will be going into composted trees thingies made with natural rubber. The guy at the hydro shop says they rock, so we'll see.

your babies are a little stretched from being too far away from your lights. if you are using fluorescents of any kind you should keep the bulbs within a couple of inches of the plant.

if youre doing hydro and soil, i almost promise that you will end up a couple of month down the road (if you do good with your hydro, its hard work) that you will only do hydro, it grows faster and bigger, im subing to this thread keep us updated

I only have my bulbs about 2 inches away, is that too far? I think the biggest one might be a male, cuz it's growin like crazy!!!

I'm finally changin up my lights a little... I replaced 2 of the 42 watt cfls with 4 23 watt cfls in the proper spectrum(6500). The bigger ones run 4100K. How big of a diff do u think that will make? Oh, and I wanna say thanks for the support from u guys on my thread...:weed:
Also, none of the other leaves have changed color, they all look healthy, so I'm not gonna worry too much.:-P

I took the one fully rooted white widow clone that I had and transplanted it today. I am still waiting on the other one to root. I had 3 super skunk and one mango bean that had cracked, and I put them into the medium yesterday. I have 1 skunk and the mango in rockwool, 1 skunk in a composted tree bark rubber thingy, and 1 skunk in a jiffy peat pellet, just so I can see which ones work better. :weed: I am keeping them dark and warm, but does anyone know how long it should take them to sprout? I think I switched my light cycle today on my clone and my 3 middie sprouts. (The power strip I have has a timer in it, and if I set it right, it will start cycling tomorrow, so I guess we will see if I did it right). I will post pics as soon as my beans break the surface!:leaf:

Two of our skunks have cracked the surface! One is just barely above the rockwool, and still has the seed attached to the baby leaves, and the other is almost an inch tall and starting to open...I'm so fuckin geeked! Also, our rooted WW clone finally has some new growth on her! This day is wonderful...:bigjoint:

good to hear it man...men? idk the "we" is throwing me off lol
LOL, I wondered when someone would catch on to that! My screen name refers to my fiancee and I. I am a medical marihuana patient and he is my caregiver. He asked me to do the research, journaling, ordering beans, that kind of thing for him. Also, I have grown before and so it is easier for me to sort out the good advice from the bullshit...LOL. Girls ROCK!!! I don't see many girls on these forums...Is a girl grower tabu? If so, don't tell on me LOL

I transplanted my middie sprouts out of the MG soil and into some Happy Frog. I'll let you all know if the leaf burn stops and the growing starts again!

The skunks that just popped are growing good! The first one is 1 1/4 inch tall, it grew 1/2 inch since yesterday. The second is only about 1/2 inch, but trying! I think my other babies like the HF better, they seem to be growing again too. I think the biggest one might be male cuz its so big, but the one on the left is only 3 inches or so high and has just sprouted its sixth node. I'm hopin short and bushy means female...

The vast majority of hydroponic growers are male, you are right. There is a good article on that subject in the most recent "Maximum Yield" magazine.

I lmao when i saw that response white noise...I'm sharing my cool points with you! :lol:As far as my babies go, the biggest skunk hasn't grown since yesterday, but the first nodes are getting bigger and more defined. The little one shed its seed shell and is about 3/4 of an inch tall. There's also a bunch of new growth on our one ww clone, I can't believe how well it is taking off. I guess it is just a testament to the amazing powers of wilt spray:-P. IMO though, this process takes way too long...I'm so damn impatient LOL
