First Time, 12/12 from seed, SOG, Aeroponics: 3+ strains

So I'm a bit of the ways into harvesting now, I'll post pics a bit later. I have a question/issue, though...
All of the plants had a pretty nice tangy, danky smell as they were growing, but now I've cut them them down and dried, then put into some jars, and it all just smells "planty". It's pretty disappointing. Did I do something wrong, or does it take time for the dank smell to come back?

Bubblegum 1: 7.26 g
Bubblegum 2: 11.96 g
Bubblegum 3: 14.56 g
Bubblegum 4: 21.76 g
Bubblegum 5: 27.35 g
Northern Lights 1: 10.10 g
Northern Lights 2: 15.54 g
Northern Lights 3: 13.08 g
Northern Lights 4: 8.1 g
Bag Seed: 18.6 g
Total BG: 82.89 g
Total NL: 46.82 g
Total: 148.31 g or about 5 oz
