First Time Auto - What light schedule/Temp/RH do you normally run with during flower?

The Google is all over the place on this one. Wondering what the peeps round here normally have the best luck with.

Deep Jealousy Autos. They're looking ok other than one of them having a habit of getting tired at the end of the day about 3 hours before lights out and drooping which was scaring me prior to figuring out they do that sometimes. Weird (or not), same strain (different seeds obviously), 1 droops at the end of a hard day and the other doesn't.

I'm on an 18/6 schedule right now @100% / 18" from tops. Should I stay on that even though I'm in flower now?

1 week into flower and flowered just about 2 weeks after transplanting so about 3 weeks into this soil. Growing in 3.9G autpots in Ocean Forest. Just water so far, nothing else. ~8 weeks to go, am I gonna need to think about nutes at some point? If so, any recommendations that won't screw up the autopots?

Temp under Spiderfarmer LEDs currently runs between 79 and 82 with lights on and drops to lower 70's at night night time. That ok?

RH "right now" is running at 52. I'm assuming I'm gonna want to drop that somewhat? To where? I just turned off the humidifier a bit ago already. Just trying to decide if I need to break out the dehumidifier yet.

Thanks for any pointers!!

Wouldn’t overthink it - keep light cycle steady on 18/6 …

They look uniform on canopy height , may still have a little stretch in them as they finalize their structure for flowering.
They look good. Plants often react to lighting , energy absorption and metabolism differently. It becomes a rhythm.

Stay the course

Autos don’t care about light period, so the more light, the more growth, 18/6 or even 20/4 is just fine. Truly you can run 24/0, but I don’t think the added growth justifies the increased power cost, and even though they don’t require a rest period, I think it’s a good idea.

As far as “ feeding “ here are 2 simple options-

1. a few cups of fresh Fox Farm Ocean Forest topdressed and watered in - that’s it.
( plant is already accustomed to it plus new soil will recharge your containers by replacing what what used up by plant.
Pretty simple right ? ….. then a couple weeks down the road, you recharge it again ( or when necessary- heavy feeders ).

2. A Tablespoon of Dry Fertilizer ( Happy Frog fruit and flower / Dr. Earth Flower Girl ) - scratch that into topsoil to distribute, then water in.
Another simple method.

When I do autos I always let the medium do the feeding - No bottles - No bullshit hype products.

Thanks Budzbuddha! Keeping it simple was the theme for me this time around. Was nervous about adding the autopots but so far they have been great. Digging the autos so far and when I look closely, I can see where I might get some really nice colas. I am used to being able to hang around in veg doing more topping and training before flipping to flower but here we goooo! Thanks again!

View attachment 5391179I run 24/7 lights on my auto so I don't get humidity spikes during night
Great harvest!

I grew my autos at 24/7 in veg and then 20/4± in flower. Bud rot wasn't even in my vocabulary.

First photo grow (below) was going great until about the day before chop — "Heh, this bud is pretty soft. What's up with that?". I had fans in the tent and under the canopy but was in the autoflower mindset.

It was painful to put all the in the bin.

The growth is really close to linear. Even at 60¢ we pay here in SoCal, more light is worth it. Having said that, I never ran 24/0 in flower. My thinking was in synch with the good Dr. Bugbee - "they could use a little rest".

Since he made that statement (3 years ago?) he and his PhD student Mitch Westmoreland have talked about how leaves lose their photosynthetic efficiency as they age. With that in mind, I'd run 20/4. I run them at 1000- 1100µmol so they're still getting a good DLI but "give them a little rest" sits well with me.

The droopy leaves are normal just before lights out. Watch some time lapse videos on YouTube.

I run 20/4 with a reduction in the light output.

I don't run higher than 550 PPFD at the tops of my buds.

If I reduce the hours I increase the light output.

I have experimented with 24 hours, But have found mine do better with at least a 4 hour rest period.

Also don't worry about the humidity spike when to the lights are out. This is normal.
