Hey RUI this is my atempt at cloning, i normally used seeds but im going to try this,

I have pre-soaked rockwell cubes in 6.5 Ph'd water for about 20 minutes, i will cut the leaves with new growth ontop chop the leaves in half, dip them in clonex and put them in the humidity dome i will open the box 3-4 times a day and spray it with some water once, i will have a 55w light ontop running 20h a day for about 7 days i am leaving them in my room so room temp and humidity, i will leave the slots on the dome closed , now is there anything i've done wrong/missing?:joint:

UPDATE I covered the little setup i had in my cuboard with a damp bath towl will that be ok? and there is alot of water build up on the glass should i leave that there?

UPDATE PICS i finished putting the clones in put the lid on and put a 55w light ontop :) is all looking ok?

No need to ph the water.
Remove half the water from a drenched rw cube by flicking of the wrist not squeezing prior to plugging the clones.
Run the light 24/7.
Remove dome in a day or two.
Avoid misting.
When you water them only wet them by 50% not 100% (drenched).

How do u go about watering? just put ph'd water in the tray or? i will update with pictures, and dont remove dome for 2 days? Thanks

Do you always use pH 6.5 to soak your rockwool? I've always used 5.5 per Grodan's instructions. Just curious.
First time cloning but i feed my plants 6.5

I use the cheap Jiffy Garden from walyworld and Bontone rooting powder from homedepot, and I also slice the bottom to open the hard epidermis of the shoot so the rooting powder can get into the soft tissue for fast root development, and the jiffy tubes stay moist all the way through the rooting stage, although at day 4 I use some very mild nutes to mist them with (spray over the top, so as not to soak them), and it takes me 9 to 11 days to root..and I use 16/8, but that's your preference...

and BTW, I use regular tap water left out for 24 hours to evaporate the chlorine, and it works fine..

On clones if you can, leave lights on 24/7 or 24/0... for at least 7 days...
I also leave dome on for 7 days, we all do it different...
I clone with dry powder rooting compound...
Straight into soil [MG Potting soil 40%/paralite 30%/Vermiculite 30%]
Into Dixie cups, with clear lids... as my dome

This is my no budget clone machine...your resultes may vary... about 80% even in the winter, with night temps down to 57-58f...
First, I water them in [water/w Super Thrive]
I mist soil, by weight, no nutes for 7 days...
Dome off in 7 days
During this time, I trim leaves as needed [if they droop, or have touched soil]
Try to keep them warmer than me... I should get a heating pad...
and I use filtered water at all times...on the clones...

Also, sometimes, they just take longer to grow roots, who knows why...
After a week with the dome on, start a 1/8th mix of nutes along with the filtered water...

Yep I agree..I use the dome for the whole 11 days but I take it off to take pics...lol..and since they came off a mother that was being fed nutes...well, like I said I feed mine on the fourth day with a couple mists from my spray bottle...and when they show enough roots...I do the same into plastic cups, but no dome just low lighting and temps a steady 72, cooled with a 6inch fan...
