Whats up Riu bros?a friend of mine has a 2 month old indica dominate plant that is still in vegitative state.he told me I could clip a stem,I cut the stem at a °45-°50 degree angle, put it in a bottle of room temperature water and let it sit under a little florescent light for 12 hours.then I moved it into soil after a coating of rooting hormones(because I don't have any other way to root clones.)once in soil I watered lightly which made it wilt really bad.I got nervous but didn't want to panic so I cut the top off a 1 liter bottle for a makeshift humidity dome.pic one is tw hours after cut,pic two is 20 hours after cut,its been 24 hours now.but I was wondering if it looks like it MIGHT make it

It might. Make sure you have drain holes in the cup.

In the future, do a straight cut when taking off the plant. Then do the 45 degree before dipping in the hormone.

The cup has drain holes, and I'll remember the cutting method.I didn't plan on doing anymore clones untill I get some proper equipment tho. Thanks for the reply man! This is what it looks like now 34 hours after cut

weed always wants to thrive brother, it may take. next time grab one of those really sharp razors- the rectangular ones, not the hex shapes or w/e, wipe it with some isopropyl and shake it in the air to make sure the iso totally dissipates. then go take ur cut at 45 and put it in rooting gel right away then into ur medium. if you do that nice and fluid with no excess isopropyl on contam youll get over 90% success. humidity is key, that's how they drink until rooted- don't water, keep it in a dome at 70%+ RH and spray everything with water included the plant/soil to keep it all moist, not wet!

Thanks for the tips man! I still have to save up to get alot of extras that would make it easier for me,but for right now im strapped for cash, just got my hid system, ventilation and nutes so I have to save up a little bit first.this is the plant at 34 hours after cut and in my opinion I think its looking good, alot better than it did yesterday but Im not entirely sure what to look for

Edit: sorry about that,I didn't realize that I already posted that picture haha my bad

I don't put clones into dirt until after they have rooted. The reason for the dome is that you need close to 100% humidity for the clones to want to root. Your gal looks OK now but I would highly recommend you get a spray bottle and mist her 3-4 times a day until you get roots. Remember, clones are used to getting a lot of moisture while in the dome and so need a lot of water the first week in dirt. Especially make sure the crown, the very top of the plant, gets wet often. I've grown out clones that looked perfect except the crown had dried out. Plant was worthless. So wet her early and often, make sure you have drain holes to avoid root rot. Good luck, BigSteve.

Solid info! Thanks bro :)

I also cut off the ends of larger leaves on my incoming clones. I have found that if you trim them as little as necessary they will root quicker. So leave enough leaf as you can. The back of fan leaves contain small organelles that enable the plant to convert light energy into a form of energy the plant can use. Called photosynthesis and is important for growth. BigSteve.

Yea I trimmed off about %50 of my bigger fan leaves on day 2 so it would focus on root growth,it looks like its still in good shape, this picture was at 88 hours after cut
