Hello everyone (or anyone). This is my second time growing and hopefully first time finishing (my mom caught be the first time ). So now I have my own apartment and I'm back at it once more, hopefully without any interruptions.
Here is a few pictures of my closet is the making. Obviously not done yet. Wait for my roll of mylar to arrive. Using leftover stuff for now, but ran out.
As you can see it still leaks a lot of light, which is really the biggest problem because I sleep in the same room lol. The mylar panels work wonderfully. I'm gonna be buying some weather stripping to help keep more light sealed in.
Here you can see what the mylar panels look like. It is just mylar wrapped around pieces of cardboard and then tapped to my closet. Eventually I will use pieces of drywall or thick poster board to make a more permentent seal. This seems to work pretty well for now.
My babies at two weeks old, and my four 26w 6500k CFLs.
From here on out, when I refer to the plants age I will be referring to the day I planted them. I will be posting an update on every Wednesday. Expect lots of pictures
Wednesday March 18, 2009
Introductions:
Plant A (Agatha) The strongest of the group. Growing much faster than the others from the beginning. Two pairs of true leaves with two more pairs coming up already.
Plant B (Betsy) Furthest behind, but not too far behind. Seems to have heat stress. Moved lights a little further away hoping to correct the problem. Catherine and Dorothy also have mild "burns" near the edge of the leaves on the top only.
Plant C (Catherine) The tallest of the kids. Also the only other with another pair of leaves starting to develop, although very small.
Plant D (Dorothy) About the same size as Betsy, but with fewer burns.
Please feel free to comment, criticize, complain, or compliment. I am new at this, so as much advice as possible would be appreciated. Thanks!
