first time closet grow( need advice )

Hey folks, my names ant, this is my first post on here, and id really like to know if my idea of a good small operation sounds ideal for producing quality bud: I have a closet space about 2 feet long and 5 feet wide. I plan to enclose off the top of my closet using plywood or something to help trap more light in ( hard surface which I will cover with mylar). I'm going potting soil based as from what I hear overall the manual labor is worth it. The potting I'm going to use is called Just right Xtra. From what I read it sounds real good but not as organic as I would like. I have an 400w mh for veg and 600w hps for flowering. I'll be cooling the lights with a 3 speed max-fan fan ,6in, and the duct will go through a hole of the bottom of a zipper door near my closet door in which the fresh air will come from and the other side of my aircooled hood I will have the hot air be pushed into my attic. I will have some other small clip on fans, and I plan to veg for a little over a month and the flowering well until they look ready after I've looked at the tricomes under a handheld microscope thing. I will have a thermometer and ph kit. The clones I'm getting are from a lovely plant and I'm wondering if there's anything else I should considering adding on to what I have or switching it out for something else. Thanks dudes. I'll be setting it up within a few days so urgent replies would be greatly appreciated

"I plan to enclose off the top of my closet using plywood or something to help trap more light in" <---That just sounds wrong, head room is a definite + when growing in a closet or any grow. Besides, it won't give you more light.Get some yoyo hangers for your light, easily adjustable. Everything else sounds good though, you could get over 200 grams if grown right. Remeber to let your soil dry out a bit in between waterings, lift your pots, feel the water weight after you water them. You will notice the weight decrease as it starts to dry out. The bigger they will get, the faster they will dry out. If a gap appears around the pot, between the side of the pot and the soil, you are drying out a bit too much. Good luck!:weed:

sounds dope, id temp test the setup before adding the plants, 600w hps can put out some heat.
also the soil sounds like goodstuff but -may- b too hot for fresh clones. any ol' peat based will do for 1-2 weeks then transplant

Like Chronic says…test the set up before you bring the clones in to make sure you have your temps under control. I have four seedlings sitting in cubes because I changed my system and realize I need more cool air from outside and am waiting for a delivery of 6" ducting.

Thanks guys! Really appreciate all the feedback. I actually went with black and white Polly and am making a zipper door with that. I got fox farm ocean to start my clones in , the setup is coming along pretty well so far. Should be getting the clones within a couple days. Drop posts if you feel there's any other things to tell a first timer. I know quite a bit based off of seeing my buddys do it and research so it should go good.oh and was only able to get 400w hps :(. What do you think my yield would realistically be if I cooled the lights good enough to bring them as close as I can without burning them, and kept up with the other stuff
