So I brought this clone in from a buddy, got it put in the 5 gal. bucket and got it under the light about 7:30 (11:50 now). I had (6) lights on it, but it starting to wilt so I brought it down to (1) light, and but a box fan in front of the closet to pull the hot air out. It's doing a little better, but still wilting. Any thoughts, opinions, tips, or advice on what's wrong or what to do?

The strain is Amnesia Haze, so it's a pure sativa.

Have you grown before and if so did you use Pro-mix?
This is my first time ever. Been creeping around RIU and studying up as much as I could though before I started. The Pro-Mix looked seemed a lot better than the MG from what I've heard about it. I'll be making Subs super soil next summer. I would make it now but it's too cold for the soil to bake in the sun.

There are a lot of good posts on proper use of that medium. Look around some more. You can never learn to much. Welcome to the best hobby in the world. +REP for first grow.

When you water only give eough to soak the roots and let her dry out for a while this will force the roots to grow out seeking moisture. A moisture meter is a good thing to have.

Can I get a moisture meter from Wal-Mart or something of the sort?

"proper use of that medium" as in the pro-mix its self or soil in general?
Thanks for the rep! Also, sorry for all the questions. I've done a lot of research, but you can never be too sure lol.

if that is what you can afford ya it will work. Soil and soil less mixes are quite different. What you have there is soil less and will likely need nute additives along the way. The good thing is with the amount she has available you will not need to transplant.

Just curious how much did you pay for the cutting?
My buddy who I get bud off of, his roommate grows. I asked him if I could get a clone and he said yeah. Only $20 bucks though. I'm also in a non-medical state, so it is hard to get them unless you know someone. Is that a decent price?

Really? I didn't know that lol. I don't really have the cash to get nutes, so what I planned on doing was making organic teas to feed her nutrients. Will that be okay?

It sounds like the clone wasn't hardened off, meaning it was still under the dome at the guys house. Not the ideal stage to take possession of a clone.

My buddy also said it was under 12/12 too before I got it, and I'm gonna be doing 18/6, will this cause any problems?

Should be ok but again you need to study proper tea recipes as well. I have pretty much always used Fox Farm or Technaflora products so I don't really have any advice to offer on pro-mix or home made teas. I have no idea what a clone sells for I live in a police state as well. I was just curious because if I had a friend that wanted to grow and I had a mother plant or a nicely vegging plant I would just give them a few. I think it is not only our right to grow cannabis but a moral responsability to anyone who chooses to consume it's product. So I am always happy to increase our numbers.
