I've read about 3 or 4 similar teks including that one and I'll break it down right now
Always wear safety equipment and use a seal-able jug/bottle & always release pressure from jug while mixing to prevent pressure buildup.
Materials:
1 HDPE 2 Milk Jug
50g NAOH
50g Powdered MHRB
750mL of Tap Water
Gatorade Bottle Twist Top (as separator funnel with bottom cut off)
Vinegar in case of spills
Gloves
Goggles
3m paint & dust mask
1g MHRB:1g NAOH: 15 mL H20
1) Put Jug in Cold Water Bath & Slowly mix NAOH and water in parts while swirling and monitoring heat. When jugs turn cold & NAOH dissolves while mixing add more NAOH & water.
2) After mixing all water & lye mix makes sure all lye has dissolved & container is cool to touch.
3) Mix in MHRB.
4) Seal Container
5) Mix repeatedly over 2-3 hours (after I first mixed I realized I forgot salt and added some)
~not up to this step~
6) Add 25 ml Naptha to container & seal.
7) Shake bottle
Let sit for an hour (if you want to use a heat bath you can)
9) Separate naptha layer and avoid getting any mhrb/lye into the naptha layer using separator funnel to ensure all water(which sinks) is let back into the original mixture
10) evaporate naptha until able to blow on it and turn cloudy
11) freeze precipitate in a seal-able container
12)after crystals form pour remaining naptha back into the jug and repeat the agitation process & separation
You may want to do a Sodium carbonate wash which involves washing the naptha layer with a mix of water & Sodium carbonate and then re evaping/frezeing for a cleaner product.
Recrystallization can be done by
1)
redissolving the crystals back into naptha in a hot water bath
2)Seperate the naptha from the oil impurity on bottom
3)Place separated naptha at room temp(2-3 hours)
4)move to a refrigerator (2-3 hours)
5)move to a freezer (48+ hours)
There will be a drop in weight but a cleaner product and big crystals.
I will probably leave out recrystallization & SC wash for now but maybe in the future.
I compilated info from ANCs post & multiple teks on dmt-nexus as well. I didn't invent t his method just collaborated different methods.
