First time dwc, root rot or stained roots?

Hey about 6 weeks into my first dwc grow. Everything seemed to be going pretty good until after one of my recent resevoir changes noticed the plant drooping a bit and then a few days later a little bit of brown on the roots. Added hygrozyme and ec roots next res change and same thing was a bit droopy and roots getting browned. Added a bigger air pump and the plant perked right up and looks to be growing well again now but just did a res change and the roots are even darker and more brown. They are not slimy and do not smell but very brown now. Do I have root rot or what should I do?

what is ec roots?
IMO hygrozyme is crap
i would decide (quickly) to run with good bacteria or sterile.
the pic i looked at looked very slimy to me=rot.

Uc roots** This is what I used when I did a resevoir change yesterday then got home from work today and the brown had spread, but when I touch them they dont feel slimy but like I said first time ever trying dwc so what do I know lol

I have these, dunno which my better bet is sterile or bacteria? Hydroguard super hard to get/expensive here.

use max dose of uc roots. that could be nute stain (doubt it). stop the hygrozyme.
take some res water (with uc roots) and top feed them for a bit. get that stuff in every nook and cranny

Have been using uc roots ever since and seems to have fixed the problem

Have noticed some "rust spots" on a couple of the fan leaves. Is this the sign of an issue starting or any input if i am doing something wrong?
