I do every day when i take pictures i focus all over the plant because i heard they're not good for them

Yea they wipe off and i think its from the drip ring because when i turn the drip ring off its dries and turns white and wen i run the water it turns white. i havent seen anything how would i know for sure?Do those white dots wipe off? Just asking because spidermites leave white dots when they suck the sap out.

I have discovered first-hand that there needs ro be a third component considered and that is whether your soil is providing enough Ca and/ or Mg already. If so, additional, can be counter- productive.

OP,,,,your starting out. Stressing early is common (more so for hydro imo). You have a handle on the pH now, so your likely to have less problems down the road.
You asked why it stressed. Could be many things. You caught the pH, so looking down the road at your new growth will keep you knowing more about how your doing.
If using a synthetic, be sure to follow the makers instructions to the low side.....Adding a Ca/Mg product if using RO or distilled water is a must.
Keep us in mind if you have a problem/question.

Personally saw this OP as jerking the RIU chain. Matter of fact, if I am ever reincarnated here, I will come back as a female. Sure, some unproductive attention, but seemingly more of the good stuff too. Thus, I too am in agreement with Sunni...assuming she is directing her posit at the OP.
