I'm starting to LST and supercrop and my plants love it. The stems are really reaching out and the leaves don't look as sad lol. Need to water again tomorrow. These girls are drinking MAD water lol.

You did it. Man it looks awesome. Great job
I was a little nervous but didn't have much to lose so I went for it. I did snap a branch or two but taping them seemed to keep em alive!! Crazy what these plants can go through. Thanks for you advice. It's nice to get positive feedback as a novice versus criticism! Haha

OTE="chea.pet, post: 12514913, member: 927649"]Looks nice GroJo, I pull the bottom leaves and branches as well. And I start pulling fab leaves early on flower by week five should just be colas and sugar leaves. Gotta make sure you have lots of movement thru the canopy.

I've always been told it's best not to
Chop off to much foliage as this is what stores the nutes and the plants will suck this all up when needed. I'm almost 7 weeks into flower and have only removed the leaves that fall off when lightly picked. Should I cut off all fan leaves now? It would certainly make trimming the bushes easier.

Yes they are very resilient. Its not an easy thing to hurt your ladies. The reward is going to be hugh. Keep us up to date on your grow.

Agreed, it is a topic of much debate, but I can tell you that this flower can take it. You will be rewarded with bigger yield below the top canopy. I am also of the opinion that the fan leaves fight for nuits as they continue to grow, better the buds get all that juice.
I'll post some pics when lights change

I'm going to defoliate but not until a week or two into flower. Im gonna let my plants heal up for about another week and then flip to 12/12. They are looking nice after supercropping. Much more room for all the tops and also new tops are starting to find their way up to the canopy.

Just a thought something to consider... your plants are all at different heights right now. When you flower they will stretch and be uneven still. If you supercrop that large plant you have on there and allow the others to grow to match her size in height..stop supercropping them it will help your yield i believe. I just like to have everything neat and even. Since you arent scrogging (which i think is the right call in your situation even though i will normally recommend it) this will help you get more nice large tops like that big girl is going to have.

Second of all, awesome job so far. I am in agreeance with anon this is one of the best first grows ive ever seen. I hope you will do a journal in the future would like to watch one in action.

Thanks for all the feedback guys. I'm gonna stray away from scrog.. I will try to implement a cage though so that it can support the branches. Not sure how I can use a cage since the plant are so low and and hanging over the pot..it might be better to hang strings from the top of the tent to hold up branches. Let me know if you have ideas. Thanks for the support guys!

Two days after super crop and the girls look amazing. Note that I changed to my hortilux hps. I'm trying to adjust them to the HPS so when I flower I can get the light nice and close without burning them. Not sure if this is recommended but I did alternate between mh and hps a month into veg because I wanted to grow them more vertically. I noticed when I did the switch last time the plants got very stressed from the heat although the hood is air cooled.

Wanted to give you guys a follow up on my first grow! I'm 5 weeks from 12/12 and about 4 weeks into flowering. Using Flora Nova Bloom every other water and calmag every water. I just added some blackstrap molasses today! The first picture is GSC. It's really short but has the fattest colas so far, my guess is because the nodes are so close. The tall one with a shit ton of tops is Skywalker OG. This one is going to yield the most imo because of the amount of tops. The last two are whiteberry and Diablo OG from left to right. These two are lanky with a lot more node spacing because they stretched a lot. The buds aren't huge yet but they are very crystallized! I have to start figuring out a way to tie up some of the skinnier branches because a few are hanging low here and there. Let me know if you have and good ideas for this. I've seen stakes used but I feel like they block like from the buds sites that are resting on them. Any feedback would be great. Looking to add in an extra bloom booster but not sure which one would be most beneficial. Also, all these clones are from LA!

What up guys! What a great experience! First grow was dope. I still have to cut and dry three of my plants but the skywalker og turned out awesome. I hung the whole plant and let it dry for 7 days until branches were pretty much snapping. All jarred up and weight 4+ounces. I'm sure it will drop a little weight with the cure but couldn't be more pumped. Hints of lemon and gasoline. Took forever to trim with my roommate but well worth the 3 month grow. Super cropped, topped, LST, you fucking name it! Pumped for you guys to see the Girl Scout cookies the buds are the size of my hand! Southern California baby!!!!
