Hey guys, I am new to this site and new to growing as well. I bought a 4x4x6'11 gorilla grow tent, 1000w hps virtual sun air cooled reflector hooked up to carbon filter and 440 cfm ventech 6" inline fan. This will be a soil grow, (foxfarm ocean forest) 5 gallon pots.ill be using the advanced nutrients jungle juice 3 part line up. Like I said in the title I bought 13 regular azure haze seeds from Oregon elite seeds. I haven't germinated them yet because I'm still waiting on my t5 to get here in the mail. I also have a veg tent that I need to set up. Not sure of the dimensions, but it's pretty small. Anyways I'm trying to set up a perpetual scrog with four plants, pulling one about every two weeks. Or maybe two a month so th canopy will be a little more even... Idk. Like I said this is my first time. But I feel like I have the equipment to pull some decent yields. (Also working on getting my card once that happens I can have 16 instead of 12.)Any comments or advice would be great! Here's a few pics. Much more to come!

UPDATE! I've started 9 seeds in hopes to get 4 females. Germinated them for a little over 24 hours until they were all cracked, then put them into Dixie cups filled with ffoc. Only 6 cups would fit into my clone dome so I covered the other 3 with sandwich bags because I'm ghetto like that lol. I got a 14w CFL over them just so it's not pitch black in the tent.

looks like you did your home work, and you're gonna poltergeist that tent for sure, its gonna be awesome.

make sure you read about watering, its the first mistake new growers make, i think most of us will admit do doing at some time.

good luck,

I will have to read up on newb watering mistakes. Thanks for the advice, it is much appreciated. Do you think the 14 watt is enough for now?

There's only a 14 watt CFL right now. I'm hoping it doesn't get too hot in there when I do put the 1000w in, you don't think the exhaust fan will keep it cool?

Sorry, I was being dumb, of course, you wouldn't know what the temps are with the 1000 you're not using it yet!

I'd recommend flipping it on if you have it set up only to see what the temperature will be like. My 4x8 room has a combined 1000+ CFM exhaust and with the two 600's the temps push the mid 80s.

Not a critique, just a warning! From experience, there's nothing worse than building a setup, and finding out the temperature is too hot!

Quick update! Seedlings 6 of 9 seedlings are sprouted. Put in the oscillating tower fan pointing away from them just to make a nice breeze. Also put them under a 2' 8 bulb t5 with 4 ho bulbs on so about 100 watts.
