Hi Everyone

I'm growing a Crystal and Urban Poison and as its my first time, I would be really grateful on advice with regards to when they should go into flowering.

I did a small scale outdoor grow last year and got very very low yields, so having now moved everything into an indoor grow unit, want to make sure that I dont go into flowering too early and once again not get good yields.

The Crystal is currently 23cm call and showing signs on pre flowers and the Urban Poison is 30cm tall and also showing signs of pre flowers.

Do both plants look healthy ??

Is there an argument to let them grow at least half as big again as this will increase the yields ??

Thanks in advance for any help advice and suggestions

Simon

You could flip em at any time, just remember they are gonne get 2 to 3 times bigger and by the size in the pics I'd say they are soon ready for bigger pots :bigjoint:

how big ya let em get depends too on your lights and growspace ?

its always best to let plants be sexualy mature so they can better reach t here full potential. i would wait untill you see alternating nodes to induce flower, but that all depends on the light you got if your gonna wanna do that.

Just let your grow space determine your plant size. Take into account space for the light and space between the light and the plants. Then, cut it by 1/3 and let the plant get that tall then flower. I would transplant to 3 gallon pots though. I transplanted during first week of 12/12 and it was fine.

I like to flower at a foot tall there is no need to flower any taller been there and done it.The only way that big plants are worth growing is if you are doing a medi grow and you will notice that you will only recive good buds on the top 1/12 foot any how.By flowering small the whole plant recives all the light to get nice dence buds instead of the fluffy ones that weigh f@ck all.Don't forget that a plant will double if not tripple in size during flowering. This should let you grow a few extra plants too top them after 1 week of flowering and you will get two main cola's.Make sure that you keep your lights nice and close to the tops of the plants have a fan blowing on the hood of the light this will cool the light down letting you have the light realy close so that your plants won't stretch. Also make sure that you use a nice tub for each plant the biggest that you can get in the grow room so your plants can get a decent root mass going this is realy important the bigger the roots the bigger the yeild. When it come's to watering there is no need to water every day just when the plant tubs feel light in fact i think that cannabis benefits from been dry for a while it promotes good root growth. So water about two times a week but wet the plants through if you are useing soil and just wet the surface about day 5 if it needs it but don't water for the sake of it it will do you no favours in the long run.The plants look realy good for a first go i also flush about once every 2 week and the plants keep green till the very end but produce good yeilds always. You will find by flushing the plants with water ph of 5.5 and then leave in say a bath for a hour or so then make up fresh nutrients while you are waiting has soon has the plants are running clear from the flush of just water then add the water with the nutes in.I have been doing this for a while now and the plants love it i think it is because you are getting all the nastys out of the grow medium and then putting nutrients in that you know are spot on ph wise.Alot of people will say that this much water is not good for the plant but belive me it won't hurt them at all.Make the nutrients has you need them also is another good tip because the nutrients that are made up in large ammounts are up and down ph wise so don't get lazy and you will do fine good luck in the new year ................................tyke........................................................................................

I've been also kind of wondering, are there any requirements that absolutely have to be met before you can start flowering, or can you pretty much just start flowering whenever you want?
