First time grow, need grow tent advice.

So I've had my plants under CFL bulbs in vegetative and I'm buying a grow tent soon for the next stage. I've got a few questions and would like to know if I need anything else for my tent.


What I'm buying:
~600w Ballast and HPS bulb (With cool tube)
~36"x36"x78" grow tent
~Carbon Filter
~6" duct fan - x2
~Temperature/humidity monitor
~Automatic light system (to keep on a strict 12/12)
~6"x10' duct - x3
~Normal household fan (for a little temp controll in tent if needed)

Now my questions.

1. How many plants can I look at fitting into a tent that size?
2. I have 3 duct holes in the tent, I plan to use one with the cool tube and one of the fans, and the other fan with the carbon filter. So, do I need a fan in my third duct (fresh air intake)? Does it have to be a full out powerful duct fan like I'm using for the tube and filter?
3. If I do need a fan in the intake, will a small fan (such as a computer fan) work?

Let's start first are you planning probably in grow with soil? correct?
Depend of the size of your bucket, in my case I will choose grow max 4 plants in this tend, but like I said depends of the size of the buckets and the size of the plants are you planning grow
Man just spend a lit bit more have some great inline fan under 30$ plants love AIR, I would not put a computer fan because will be not enough for our system, maybe if you wanna grow in your computer case hehehehe

Yes, I am growing with soil and thank you for the help. Yeah, a computer fan seemed a little off, but I remember seeing it in a grow box before.

I thought of something new,

If I went with 2 ducts rather than 3 and just did 1 duct for both the cool tube and the carbon filter, would that work?
Then with my second duct I could have that with the second fan for air intake.

Also, I need advice on a new veg room set up. I have the lighting down, I just need some sort of stand type thing to hang the lights from.

My veg area will be 12"x24"42", my idea Was an "I" shape when viewed from the side, 2 base structures at the bottom and top with one bar going down the middle. Any idea on how what I can use? I was thinking possibly metal piping?

I'm trying really hard to picture the ideas you're suggesting, I may be a little too high though lol. I'll just give you the advice I'd give myself I guess for the area you're working with

For your veg area I would get some black and white poly (online or grow store) and get some 2x2s from home depot, you can even have them cut them to size if you need to. Then just frame in your 12"x24"x42" or whatever size you decide to make it and wrap it in the poly so the inside is white and the outside is black, keeping all the light inside and reflecting it around. You can have a 2x2 go down the middle and hang the lights from that, or a metal pipe or whatever works for you. That's how we make our own tents more or less, much more efficient and cheap and we can design them however we want. There are a bunch of DIY tent instructions on grow forums including this one, just google it for ideas.

I'm designing a second tent in my veg room right now, and I'm going to design it with an additional 18" cab on top above the vegging plants for clones, all in the same tent. This kind of thing seems to suit your style from the way you already have so many ideas you're excited about!

And I agree about 4 plants flowering under a 600w, that's what I do.
