I would say would be alright with a 250watt HPS lamp. I mean, especially if your just doing two plants.

I also only grow 2 per grow.. as I don't sell or even smoke with anyone else besides myself.. so there's really no need for me to grow more than I need personally. The most I've ever grown was 3 plants per grow. I find it easier to keep the grows smaller... less chance of confusion coming about.

But I make up for the small plant numbers... by putting my two plants in larger pots.. so I get a good yield from both plants.

anyhow, yeah.. I would say that, that would be plenty of light for two plants my friend.

good luck!

peace.

Since you have a small cupboard - you may want to consider CFLs (go to the CFL subtopic under Indoor growing)....it's just going to be a challenge managing the heat from an HPS in a cupboard.

I have yet to gain exp in using an HPS as all I hear about are heat issues. I assume you you are talking about the width and height of the cabinet, what about the depth? I hope its much larger than 60cm x 60cm when it comes to the depth. I would agree with RuchaYolanda and consider a CFL or T5 lighting for something of that size. If the depth of your cabinet is that of a typical kitchen cabinet I think a hps would be a tight fit.

Thanks again guys for your input, im overwhelmed with people taking out time to reply, Im growing in a wardrobe 1.5 m tall, 60cm width and 60cm length. My friend gave me a light today which is 250w hps kit with 2 types of bulbs, 1 for veg and 1 for flower stage.

I'm going to try to grow DWC in the bottom of a 55 gal garbage container, only leaves me about 5 cubic feet for growing 4 plants.

Being a noob to grow, I was under the impression that you can't get good flowering on CFL. Possibly (probably) wrong?

You should be okay using the 250 in there, but it may get too hot. You'll at least need a good exhaust fan, and maybe even a cooltube. If you find that you can't manage the temps with that light you may want to try either a 150w hps or cfls as someone else said. I use a 150 and the heat from it is pretty manageable.

I got a 300Watt LED that it is working fairly well, does not get hot unless you block the fans on the back of the panel. Got it from someone off of craigslist but I do plant to buy 2x 150watt HPS to add to either side of my LED for my next gro

Thanks again guys, I think I will need an exhaust fan to keep the temp cool and maybe something else. I must say you guys are cool and helpful.

You'll find most people on here are pleasant and helpful, there are select members who enjoy making people's lives miserable though so just ignore them. Let us know what you decide and link to your grow when you start it!

Our boxes our pretty much the same size and i have a 150w hps and 156w's of cfl's with a temp of 6 degrees over ambient. I think a 250 would probably get too hot unless you made a cooltube for it. Heres how mine is setup if it helps or you can check out my box in my sig.
