Hey everyone this is my first time growing i will be sharing a tent with my friend also a first time grower. Were going to grow with ak-48 clones that i am getting from a friend who has about 12 different strains of clones. The ak-48 he said is an enhanced version of ak-47 that yields slightly more and flowers much quicker and is very very resilient.

Below is my setup i have 2 4X4 trays that will be hooked up to that square tub under the trays with a flood a drain pump system. i have canna nutrients and the charcoal filter in the corner , and will be growing in 6x6x6 rockwool cubes i got this whole setup on a trade so i dont know every little detail because i havent used it.

I was wondering if the 6' vortex fan (450cfm) will be enough to pull air through the filter and through both 600 watt lights and keep everything cool or will i need a booster fan maybe.

i will be trying to do 30 plants in a 4X8X7 long area so a total of 32sqaure feet. is this to much for 2 600w hps lights. or should i just expect smaller yields and smaller plants.

Also do you recommend i cut the plants to produce 2 main colas or just let them grow. I know it depends on the strain has anyone else grown ak-48 or ak-47

I also have a 20 pound co2 tank with a regulator on it but i have no controller so i will have to purchase i think. im not sure on this issue i would really like any advice on this.

Hey brotha, I say you got a nice lil setup there. It's actually exactly what I have goin right now. Two six hundreds in a tent similar in size to yours, I also think I have the same vortex fan that you have and I'm pullin thru both six hundreds with that alone and my temps are in the mid to low 80's. I also have a 16inch oscillating fan blowing air around. I think you should be fine for now, and even better with the Co2 since it will allow you to hold a little bit higher temps with out damage. So, I would say get the ball in motion and enjoy the ride. Peace.

How hot is it where you live. I live in Orange county right now it gets to about 88 in the day at the highest about 92. Im doing it in a garage so the temps will be a little higher but i will be running the lights at night and i also recently got a 8,000 btu a/c unit that i will set up outside the tent with ducting going in. does co2 let you run at higher temps?

zeke907, care to share for someone not very mechanically inclined how you mounted your oscillating fan in your grow tent? I'm at a loss for how to do it, although I have mounted my 6" inline to my reflector, which was something of a small miracle.
