First time grow

Hi, I have never grown before and I was thinking of trying it out just to see but I have a few questions before I do so. I was wondering if I can do the whole process while keeping the seeds in a pot. Is it possible for me to do all this without me having to get a heating lamp or anything? Because I want to be able to leave it outside mostly so my parents dont find it. And I also wanted to know how long it normally takes. Thank you

Alright thanks I have been researching a real lot the last few days and I think I understand it. If someone could tell me if this is how it works that would be great. I guess I plant my seeds into the pots with really good dirt from the store I then water them daily and keep them in the sun at all times and also fertilize and then in about 2 months they should be good?

Hey Man, that sounds good. The main thing is to just do it.

If you are keeping them in a pot, and trying to conceal them, you can dig a small hole that is the shape of the pot. Put the pot in the hole, and the plant will look like it is in the ground, but you can still move the pot when you want.

Have fun!

Alright thanks alto guys :big joint: Just one more thing I wanted to clear up.. If it is raining outside or snowing do I need to bring them to a place were they would be safe from the rain or snow. And since I plan on trying to grow them all year around will it be to cold outside for them to grow I live in new york on long island. Thank you for all your help guys.

Outside is tough. The rain will knock off some of your thc crystals. If its snowing then your plant will freeze and die. These are some of the reasons I grow indoors. Pest and rodents dont help either.

Alright but will it be ok temperature wise in new york, since the rain and snow isnt good for the plants I was thinking just whenever it rained or snowed I could move them under a tarp or something since they are going to be in
pots.

For 1 its harder to maintain outdoor plants due to unknown pest rodents and weather changes you could have nice plants ready to bud and come out the next day to find it destroyed by animals and bugs unless you plant a lot and expect some losses and only want to grow inseason ok but if you want to grow year round with the same good results and want to play mother nature then definately grow indoors where you make the weather what it needs to be !:joint:
