First time grower and I think I am killing them (lots of pics inside)

Okay I will just try to give you as much info as possible and go from there.

• Indoor Grow
• PH of my water going in is 8 or so but coming out the bottom seems fine at 6-7
• I over watered them badly the first 3 days I had them
• About 5/6weeks old
• Repotted 6 days ago into larger pots
• Generic multi purpose compost used with perlite
• 600 Watt bulb running 24/7
• No idea on temps or humidity of the room
• Have an extractor running 24/7 with a carbon filter
• Have a standard oscillating fan set up for when I send them to flower but currently not on
• Unsure of strain
• light is about 18 inches above them, I tried moving one closer but it was a bad move and I got some heat stress to that particular plant
• Unsure of exact pot size but pretty darn big

Okay that's the raw data I think I covered everything, basically these 3 were gifted to me by a friend, they were all green and healthy when I got them and I stupidly over watered them and they started to wilt, since then I havent watered in 5 days but they are still kinda moist in the soil, not the top soil which is dry but if I poke my finger through the holes in the base of the pot I can still feel some moisture. From my own research I understand the problem is likely that I have overwatered them but I just wanted to check its not something else/get an informed opinion.

Questions

1. Looking at them are they likely to recover by switching to a 5 day water cycle? (if indeed it is over watering)
2. I have some nutes canna coco a & b that are usually for cocosoil but I am told its fine in normal soil as well. I was going to start very low like 0.5ml of each to 1l water and work up from there?
3. How long shall I wait to send them to flower? When my pal gave them to me he said 2 to 3 weeks they should be ready to switch to 12/12 but I think I have probably stunted the hell out of them.
4. Shall I trim the bad leaves and if so do I cut the stem as close to the leaf as possible or as close to the main stalk as possible?
5. How badly have I goofed?

Looking better. These plants seem to always bounce back. I found resetting internal clock helps. 24 hour sleep cycle raise light all way up for 24-48 hours then back to normal. Works for me at least

They look possibly a bit overwatered. It looks like they need to be fed to me, I would start the grow nutes and maybe add a small amount of epsom salt, a couple pics look like magnesium deficiency along with needing nitrogen. Don't water by a set schedule, wait until the pot gets light and then water. Also, knowing your temp and humidity is important. Buy a $8 meter off ebay. What would you guess the temps are? Probably wait until they dry out some more to add the nutes, and only add them every other watering.

No comment on the resetting the internal clock advice. Never heard of raising the light to accomplish that... adding a short dark period maybe

I would say similar to the above...Bit of nitrogen wouldn't hurt...

Sorry, to clarify you're saying I should

- Turn the light off for 24 hours
- Turn light back on but raised right to the top of the tent for 24-48
- Go back to normal after that

I think the possible deficiencies are coming from the PH of the water going in being wrong, the water coming out the bottom is great but like I said going in its about an 8. Turns a bright aqua colour when I test.

I will certainly grab a meter asap, I would hazard a guess its room temp really. It was really warm in there before I turned the extractor on 24/7 in the 30's or higher but that was only a day or so. I could sit in there with them comfortably.

Ah hell don't listen to me I don't use soil. But have brought my girls back from the dead on different issues learning curves

Yes I would let her sleep for a night but that's me. Did that with this grow as well u decide.

Coming from someone who uses 24 hours of light to veg....I think feeding your plants some nutrients should be of utmost concern at this point in time.

Do you think I should cut the dead leaves away? Do I cut the stem as close to the leaf as possible or as close to the main stalk as possible?

Even if they haven't fully dried out yet? If I stick my finger in the holes at the bottom I can still feel moisture and the pots are still pretty heavy but 20l soil went into 3 pots and didn't fill them to the brim so I guess they will be quite heavy anyway......

Wait for them to dry out, then feed with the next watering. You can't really do much at this point except peel off the dead foliage and then monitor new growth to see if the problem was resolved.

This is going to be a 5-7 day process

P.S: shutting your lights off for 24 hours isn't exactly going to help dry out your soil

DO NOT PEEL OFF ANY LEAVES THAT ARE GIVING YOU RESISTANCE WHEN YOU TUG ON THEM GENTLY

One final question, they currently stand 30 inches in height from the bottom of the pot to the tip of the plant and 22 inches from the top of the soil to the tip of the plant. My light sits at 60 inches from the floor so I can only grow to about 50 inches absolute max before light burn will become an issue.

What sort of height would you flower them at?

A while ago

yes very true on drying the soil. but from my research( and well i use hydro easier to dry) it seems cannibas and most plants get a lot of healing time when sleeping.. some don't need darkness to sleep but i found with my issues this worked.. good luck my fellow grower updates on mine in 28 day flower 400hps beaten plant lolView attachment 3028712View attachment 3028713

id flower at 2 feet and top that girl

Most strains will double or triple in size during flower, so take that into account. I flip my girls into flower when they are 6" tall...

WOW 6" well i guess i did that with my Tangerine haze clone flipped her after 3 days of receiving her. but my others i veg the hell out of them i like mine big and bushyView attachment 3028723 well she got left unattended while i was away for a couple weeks thank god for my master controller lol still had 3 power outages but the girls still living must be the fresh 10 degree incoming air

So basically I need to flower now? Even though a couple are a little sick not very bushy?

Shall I top them like the good fellow says?
