First time grower, first time cfl grow

great grow man congrats, i am startin a 250w cfl grow next week, cnt wait after seeing the pics of yr beutys considering yr a 1st time grower hope mine turn out full of buds like yours

what spectrum of light did you use when vegging and flowering ?

Cheers djh. Used a 250w 6400k for vegging and a 300w 2700k for flowering. Have just harvested Plant A as I just couldnt risk the smell these two were kicking off any more. I could literally smell it 15m outside the front of my house and every time I went down to open the cab the house stunk afterwards - was panicing I was going to get busted. Anyway, decided to harvest Plant A even if it was a wee bit too early. Have to say though am most impressed with the yield. Am just waiting for it all to dry now but quick dried a few buds for a "taster" - bloody hell it almost blew my head off!!!! Excellent cerebral high with no body buzz or feeling of stoned body - think this is from harvesting before amber trichs. The smell in the house has died down considerably now so am leaving Plant B under the lights for a bit longer. This is the bigger of the two plants and should yield nearly half as much again as Plant A. WIll post pic of harvested Plant B in a sec. Laters!

Day 86 (85 in soil) Day 61 flowering - HARVEST PLANT A

Pics of Plant A harvest - had to cut this baby down to save getting busted - the smell was getting unbearable both in and outside the house. Seems to be ok - more cerabral high than body stoned but am leaving Plant B a bit longer. Will give full low down on the harvest and results when I have more time but for now here are the pics (the flash has bleached these out a bit - buds had more orange than it looks!!!!):

power africa huh? i wrote it down in a notebook, ita an awesome sativa for sure compact. cant wait to see what the more mature plant looks like!

Thanks Limited Timer - if I'm honest I didnt expect to get this much as this was just an experiment as a first timer with a CFL light. Have far too much in my house now for my own comfort level as it was only ever meant for personal use!!!! Will have to do a lot of smoking!!!!

Have added pics of the final yield which is now curing from Plant A. Plant B I have cut and am now drying - there is fricking shed loads on it and I really do need to get rid of a bit as its way past my comfort zone for having this much weed about my person. Tip to the wise: This shit stinks when your growing it and if you live in a town house it really isnt a good idea unless you can cover that smell up. I could smell it 10ft outside the front of my house in the street towards the end!!!! So much so I freaked out and chopped my plants early as am sure I was gonna get busted if it kept smelling like that and visitors had started mentioning the smell. Anyway enough about that!!!

I will post the last pics of the Plant B yield in a week or so but for now there is a pic of Plant A's final yeild (minus the stuff I've smoked) and Plant B before it got the chop below. I'm wraping up this grow journal soon and wishing you growers all the best!!! Will leave my final thoughts on Power Africa strain with my final post in a few weeks. For now - Peace people!

good info to know about the smell with only 2 big plants thats pretty strong.. Awesome job man hope your medicine is as awesome as it looks man
