First time grower first time posting...Newbie questions and pics

First question is what can I do if I can't raise the light any higher and my plants are too tall? Second question, how does my set up look? Just some basic info about my grow, strains are pinnaple express, cookie kush, night queen, snake venom, headband, and blueberry headband. My growing medium is nutrafield coco, I'm using distilled water and house-garden nutes A and B @ 2 tablespoons each per gallon and bud burst by nutrafield @ 1 tablespoon per gallon I'm only doing one gallon of water per plant per feeding and they are in five gallon buckets...I am doing nutes every other feeding and straight distilled water @ room temp the other and each feeding I use the same nute mixture and give them a foliage spray each feeding with it, does this regiment sound good?

They look a bit heat stressed for starters. Also if you're still in veg and your light is as high as it can go what are you going to do when your plants double or more in height during flowering?

Bend,em sideways or cut the tops off or dig a hole..

They are in flowering since Dec 14th so I have no clue what to do...learning from my mistakes...I have teens that I've built a scrog for in my other room so hopefully tiring them down will work

Allright bro, what i would do first is start pinching as a mother****. They've been in for 2 weeks, the will grow some more prob, unless its a low strech one, but it looks stretchy to me.

First of all, get controll of the height. Its a mistake i've done myself to think they need to be UP IN the light, they dont need that 10000x brightness, just give them some room from the light if you can.

I would also start lollipopping in 1 week, get alot of that lower growth gone, so you get all that energy to the tops, saves you alot of trimming, having to trim popcorn buds is awful.

Next time, remember how they grow so you put them in alittle earlier into flower maybe ;) Pots are sliiiiiightly too small compared to the plant for me, but that might just be prefference.

Good luck bro! Not a shabby looking first grow. Just get dinstances and heights nailed ;)

Hey man!

They dont need to be up in the light that way. Try to trim the lower branches now while you can. Pinch the tops so they stop growing, they are too tall :)
I wrote a suuuperlong post, but it got deleted... so you get this short one :P im tired in the hands, got carpal tunnel syndrome.

Next time put them in abit earler, now that you know how they stretch. Work their structure.

Awesome thanks man!! I actually got the longer reply too...I def. learned my lesson I went in last night and tied all of the highest branches down so that the canopy was as even as poss. I think I will go with 10 or 20 gallon pots this next time around and yeah I left them in veg far too long but I appreciate the feedback and I'm going home now and pinching the tops just to make sure the upward growth stops

If they have vegging for this long I would keep them in the dark for about 48-72 hours. I mean completely dark. It should trigger stress in the plant and may force it into flowering. After the time desired has passed begin to continue your light cycle if any. As far as the light issue. You must crop the crap out these babies. Be careful as you could get rid of good portions where buds will derive from. Crown it on top, reduce lower leaves, twist leaves and angle at desired area where space is made available, pinch the area nearest to the top, tie weak areas down and away towards desired angle. It should start bushing. Unless you dig a hole man or break the roof no way your going create height. Maybe a bucket transfer but that's not recommended for just a measly 2 inches your going to get. Good luck just my thoughts.

Ok guys I did the whole pinching the tops and Tieing down the tallest ones to even out the canopy...NEXT BIG ISSUE I think...lol...had time set for my flowering room for the 12/12 and I told my wife while I was at work to turn the LEDs back on in my veg room...she turned on all the lights which means about halfway thru the dark period for my flowering plants, the 1000HPS light I have them under was on for 2-3 hours...is this going to be an issue...everything looks the same but I'm sure it will for now but being 3 weeks into flowering are they at risk of hermaphroditism?

Oh yeah here is a quick pic of my veg side so you can at least let me know how it looks as well...I have my scrog materials which I'm building this weekend and installing to avoid the first issue I had with height of the plants
