My bulbs, I have been waiting for for a week finally came in... BUT they are too big for my reflector. I got a little innovative and wrapped some tin foil around the edges to expand. Hopefully it does the trick!
Other than that, the girls are looking mighty strong today!
The new lights are hanging about 5 to 6 inches away now as I anticipate they will put out more heat.
As it came to my attention (Thanks Kush), I did away with the tin foil idea and ran out to buy a new reflector. It is bigger and the bulbs still stick out a LITTLE. I also, utilized my other lights as to be side lights. I'm excited! The girls are thriving, enjoying the sun and air (artificially, that is, lol.)
Seems that the plants fair well with the new lighting. I was a little worried with the yellowing of a cotyledon from my youngest but was informed that this is a good sign.
Wing span of leaves are reaching 2 inches and growing quick!
Temp: 78° F
Humidity: 58%
Lights are about 2½" to 3" away from plants. Looks like the youngest is mature enough to eat on her own as her cotyledons are yellowing.
Good morning all, well the girls are still growing but not at an incredible rate yet although they are becoming symmetrical and showing a lot of personality now.
I seemed to have overwaters the girls on accident. Still new and trying to gauge the right amounts. Needless to say I will back off with the water today.
I am not incredibly happy about this post but I do think it's important to document mistakes!
Things are a bit weird as of yesterday, it's like it started a chain reaction. The youngest is now curling it's leaves under. I BARELY watered the 2 that weren't bad yesterday and just woke up to water them all today.
Although the injured one seems to look terrible it seems like it's recovering today as the leaves are finally rising back up.
