Most definitely not.
She's still using them.
Hard to tell in your pics, but nutrient burn or deficiency is likely...

A bit too much, bit too soon.
I'd re-pot her into her final pot if possible. I'm not a great soil grower, but she won't need feeding for a few weeks yet.

hey guy im new myself but however i have 5 books all by greg green and jorge cervantes....oh and a dvd set...im practicing with bagseed my beans from attitude just arrived so i was running a trial run.......just to practic topping and different methods...anywho enough about me......LEAVE THE LEAVES!!!! ive read about trimming fan leaves in early flowering and veg stages.....all i know is i wish i didnt do it......the plants i didnt pull leaves off of and didnt fuck with are producing so much more then the plants that i took fan leaves off of....only pull leaves off LATE flowering not even mid flower,,,,,fan leaves are the food producers...my new rule of thumb (taken by jorge cervantes).........give ur leaf a little tug....if it doesnt come off easily LEAVE IT! i wish i wouldve listened,,,,,but thats why i practiced with bagseed before i used my real beans....even if its a little yellow it still produces food....id show ya picks but its night time and frankly a lil to paranoid todo so....good luck,,,,,,p.s. the leaves ive had turn yellow are still remaining.....just the tips are for about 3 weeks now....the rest of the leaf is green and is still produces food for the bud site.....the oposite bud site is 25% the size(i removed the yellow tipped fan leaf on the small site n left the leaf with the good bud site......the bigger bud site must be bigger because i left the fan leaf...its yellow but still makes food....so for now on fan leaves stay on...unless they come off with a GENTILE tug

p.s ive heard to start feeding after 4 true leaves......becarefull with nutes always use 25% and increase from there.....ive made that mistake this go round to...its like cutting wood or hair once the damage is done...its done.....

the organic soil im using only had enough food to feed it for a week. so now im feeding it every other watering with my organic fertilizer. it has a feeding chart that goes by the week.

i agree with the above posters, if it comes off with a gentle tug, that is the only time i take leaves off. mayyybe you fertalized too early, but i'm sure they'll recover! good luck, and happy growing!

The only time you trim leaves is if you are making bonsai.

I disagree with this.

Trimming the lower leaves / branches where light wont be affecting much allows the plant to focus more on the parts of the plant that recive the most light more efficiently.

It also makes the plant more manageable and easier to water if you are using soil.

I just experienced this myself. My plant was growing all kinds of crazy weak stuff at the bottom and when i would water it the leaves on the bottom most of the plant were getting nailed with miracle grow nutes ( MG works if used right , dont bellive the hype!! ) and mashed into the soil when i watered.

I trimmed leaves off after one month all the way up until i harvested and it worked out fine. No hermi , no stunted growth , no issues.

I may have just got lucky but it seemed fine and i plan on doing it again this round.
