First Time Grower, wondering if I messed up completely, or if everything OK.

So here is my plant as of right now, I'd date it at just around a week and a half, that it took for this small sprout.

Wanted to know whether or not this was healthy behavior for a cannabis plant, I understand that it can take some time for older seeds to sprout and this seed was quite dated, and dry.

Note in the picture, the seed was just taken from being outside for a night which had fairly heavy rain. The soil is now dry. I also have 2 other seeds planted in similar conditions and 2 other batches of 3 seeds each in different soil.

This is the slowest batch, and the only plant to have not grown leaves yet.

I'm assuming you didn't germinate the seed, right? Not an absolutely necessary step but it seems to be highly recommended among growers for a more successful grow.
Anyhow, you're in rough shape my man. You have to be able to control the watering that your plant gets, especially a little sprout. Hopefully a more experienced person will chime in but if it were me, I'd find a way to dry that out immediately before it rots. If I recall correctly from my first grow, I had a pair of those unmistakable sawtooth-edged leaves developing after a week and a half. I'm concerned that it appears yours still has the very first 'leaves' that appear from a sprout. Are you using a particular soil? What have temperatures been like? I wish you luck man but this one may be a loss.

THANK YOU.

The soil is now much more dry after bringing it inside, & I've been keeping my temps around 22-28 degrees Celsius, however I wont be able to regulate temps for much longer as i'm going to be transplanting outdoors eventually. I did successfully germinate, and I have two other correctly germinated batches (the one from the picture has 2 others planted like it), 3 seeds planted in pots with Silt Soil, & another 3 in pots planted with Peat Soil. All seeds are fem, and each batch was germinated separate ways.

Since it's my first grow i'm trying to learn as much as I can as fast as I can, this is the slowest batch by far however so I was a little concerned.

The "soil" that poor thing is in is your first issue. Soil should have the ability to drain and light enough that it allows for air inclusions around the root mass. O2 around the roots is critical for healthy growth. Heavy clay or silty soil is going to hinder growth or kill the plant all together.

Get some coir/ peat garden mixture and get that sucker into a happy home. It appears as if you just grabbed a pot full of soil from your yard which does not appear to be the ideal medium for optimum plant growth.

Well the gravy boat you planted in is your first problem. Its better to use the paper towel method than the beef stroganoff method.

Looks legit. Dont keep it too wet.

i just laughed SO HARD at this! wow man thankyou.
Funny shit. Sometimes I wonder if some of these post are just someone trying to fuck with everybody. Sometimes... Idk. Some of these post are just hilarious on how much is just done wrong.

No offense to the OP but come on, you gotta research a little first.

Yea solomon, no problem. From what I've read, these plants enjoy light fluffy soil. I believe that's why alot of people will take potting soil (good quality, preferrably organic), and mix about 25% "perlite" into it. You can get perlite from any home improvement store. It looks like white styrofoam beads, and its cheap. Keep your soil aerated that way, and avoid heavy soils, or clay-like soils. The roots don't take kindly to that, especially young plants.
