Hello everyone

I've been reading here as a guest for a long time(year or so?) as well as other forums trying to glean as much information as possible, but also in next couple weeks will attempt my first grow. Waiting on a couple critical parts now but getting done what is possible in the mean time.

If some of the gurus here wouldn't mind helping me out tell me what you think of my thought process and half finished grow room

Grow Space: 6ft * 3ft *4ft height all mylar emergency blanket coated
Lights:

Vegging: in separate area(3x1x1.5) 2 t5ho fixtures 2ft 10000k 4 lamps @ 2000 lumens each
Flowering: 1 600w Digital Ballast from Lumatek with 600w 95,000 lumen hps bulb and Sunrise Reflector with venting

Climate Control: 1 5000btu Window AC with diy cabinet housing built with bucket in case it leaks
Generic timers, thermometers and humidity guages

Ventilation: PVC and aluminum ductwork going through dryer exhaust on a Y split
-heating vent: 4in inline 80 cfm fan from hps
-odor vent: 1 febreze trueair with activated carbon filter and 1 diy activated carbon filter

Nutrients: Millenium Gardens System

I am trying to grow about 15-18 plants. Now where I am stuck is I have built an ebb and flow table using 2x6's some plywood and 4mil painter's tarp as a liner with schedule 40 pvc to 18 gal water resevoir. However after reading alot about aeroponic units I am considering switching to a diy aero unit which looks very easy to build as well. For vegging I was going to use a drip system, however this aeroponic looks like it would be good from clone to harvest as well as I have read some people even germinating from their aero unit with amazing results 30-45 days total using white widow as a strain. I have white widow seeds as well as some hashberry seeds that I am planning on doing.

Last thing I was going to put a scrog screen as well go sog with the grow as I have little space and have seen many successful grows done this way not only online but in person.

I guess that is it, please EVERYONE I need your input :) Thanks.

Thank you!

My thought process is that if I am going to do it I might as well do it right.

Did anyone know about aero germination and if that was as simple as loading the seeds into the aero unit without light?

Like to have some more info on how you did that DIY filter....looks like you've been doing your research....Good Luck

1000w hps? yes. However if *I* went 1000watt I would most likely go with Lumatek for the DIGITAL ballast and probably the same reflector however if you wanted to save a few bucks th e same company that you mentioned offers a 1000w DIGITAL System for a very reasonable price

1,000 watt DIGITAL GROW LIGHT 1000w HPS ballast 1000 - (eBay item 180152673163 end time Sep-03-07 13:56:12 PDT)

I would probably opt for this system at 1000w:

Lumatek 1000w Digital Ballast

Sunleaves Sunspot Reflector
and a lamp like this
or you can go hortilux for ensured quality

Digital will be safer, give you a better output, draw less electricity, and lower your electric bill compared to a magnetic 1000w ballast

again I am a newbie so take that all with a grain of salt, but I think I have done ALOT of research and also helped out other friends that grow quite frequently.

Thank you very much.

I finally decided which system I am going for.

I am running aero all the way. Instead of trashing the flood and drain(ebb and flow) table I built I am going to convert that to a 9 plant aero table for flowering. I have the design drawn out and when I am finished I can make a howto if anyone wishes, because this is a very inexpensive but looks like will be an AMAZING design.

Starting from scratch on the table it is probably a one hour job and very rugged design so let me know if you are interested :)
